Noisy air conditioner. This gives the impression of the cheap motel

It was under construction with a full facade of scaffolding. And worker making noise at 7am

Gorgeous hotel, very friendly staff, and the place smells incredible.

One of my worst experience with hotel staff ever, very very rude. Small tiny rooms and inconvenient . No close by parking . Limited guest service and HUGE amount of hidden fees can triple your rate. Try to avoid this Hotel, should be reduced to 3+ stars Disappointed

I stayed at the WestHouse during a weekday. The rooms are well sized, and the luxury room I selected had a view of the city. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. They also offered unlimited bottled water, coke, sprite and Diet Coke in glass bottles. Keep in mind that this is offered till 8 pm. They also have a happy hour from 5 pm to 7 pm. The breakfast was pretty good, but the room was crowded and I ended up standing for the most part. I haven't stood up and ate/drank since I was bar/club hopping in my younger years. The staff was good, but most of the guests are from Australia, Russia, UK, and other parts of Europe. An Australian guest said something racially insensitive to his kids about Asians and South Americans while I was there, but that isn't a ding on the hotel, but on his disgusting self. Overall, the breakfast was not ideal when you consider the crowd. I would have been better off at a Residence Inn or a Hampton, but I wanted to experience this 5 star hotel, and glad I did. If I was on another business trip, I would stay here again. If I was on my own dime, probably not for the $54 "resident fee".

Good location if you’re looking to visit Central Park, shop and see shows. The Free breakfast included was nice touch. I’d stay there again.

Wonderful location, quiet rooms, breakfast a bonus!

The hotel staff are extremely friendly and accommodating - they were always quick to address any requests or concerns we had during our stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here again!

The room looked fancy on the web, but felt very sad when I walked in. Missing multiple things that I enjoy at the different hotels. This hotel allows dogs, the dogs were burking for long time. It was my mistake that I chose this hotel and would never ever stay here again. Location was good though.

The rooms were really big for New York so was the bathroom. It was a great experience.

Great bed, we were upgraded to a room with small patio Light breakfast in morning

The $53 daily resort fee will be off-putting to some, but it shouldn't. Overall, an excellent experience

I stay at hotels in nyc very frequently I would not recommend this one if you are looking for service. No service at this hotel very low standards it seems like a 4 star hotel, I don’t understand why it’s rated 5 star; the water bottles in my room were opened and used asked for them to be replaced 4 hours later still nothing had to remind staff still took awhile for new waters to be sent to my room. No room service, which is bad for a 5 star, in the morning you need coffee at least if you are not going to have room service they should at least provide an in room coffee maker to make it yourself. I’ve seen better service at 4 star hotels. They charge you a resort fee per person per night which is shocking for what is provided. Bar closes early will not send anything to your room. Definitely would choose another option so many other 5 star hotels in the area to choose from that provide far superior service.

We had a reservation for a room with 2 queen beds. The room was not available until 3pm. We were offered an “upgrade” - a room with a king size bed. The room was much smaller than the original room would have been. The safe would not lock and no one would be sent to repair it unless we were in the room even the maids came in and out. Our friends got a larger room even though their reservation had never gone through. Our room was very dark.

Very nice hotel with a very helpful and attentive staff. Convenient location to anything in Midtown. However, my favorite thing about this hotel is the size of the room. Most boutique Hotel rooms in NYC are on the small side. My room was spacious and elegant. Thank you, I will be back!

Dear Guest, Please allow me to deeply apologize for the scaffolding surrounding your room. Due to New York Local Law 11 building work, the city currently has scaffolding around the outside of our building for reinforcement work. We are very sorry this impacted your most recent stay. We hope to get another opportunity to welcome you once the construction are all done. Warm Regards, Petr Jurecka, Hotel Manager
