We had another 5 star experience at The Muse! The room was fantastic - better than anticipated. The staff could not have been more courteous and accommodating, especially Daniel! Breakfast (the avocado toast in particular) was terrific, and every interaction we had with any of the staff was kind, proactive and helpful. The location could not be more ideal, yet it still has the feel of a boutique hotel. This is definitely our "go-to" hotel now any time we are in NYC (which is usually several times per year.) I highly recommend!

Long line for check-in. The room has no coffee macine. Just two glasses in bathroom. Not sure how they expect 4 people to use two glasses. No cutlery in room and if you ask for cutlery in the cafeteria they just give one and if you ask multiple they are not happy. The heating unit constantly turns on and spews cold air so had to stay under the comforter all the time. I would not stay here again.

The Muse is a great hotel. All my interactions with the staff were positive. We dropped our luggage off before check-in and explored NYC. We came back at check-in time, which was a crunch with other guests checking in as well which produced a long line. When I finally got to the desk our room was still not ready. I say all of this not as a complaint, as this can happen, but rather how the staff handled the situation. They were cool, collected and had patience with each guest that I saw. Daniel at the front desk accommodated us as we waited for our room to be available and I felt that he cared about the delay in the room being ready. The rooms were clean, the views were great. I would stay at the Muse again.

We arrive in the middle of a snow at Jan 1st, at 6am (our flight was that way and we knew it) Tony at the front desk wasn't very pleasant to talk to when prompted if there is something we could do to get an early check in, with a pregnant wife and two kids, I knew the conditions were harsh specially for new year day, but his only response was "there is nothing I can do" "no, if you give me your number and I don't call you, you'll blame me" well Tony, I don't blame you for not having the room, I know the conditions were difficult, I blame you for your poor empathy and little will to solve anything whatsoever. When my kids slept a little bit, we all changed clothes and we were ready to hand off our baggage at the lobby, there was a very nice woman who solved our issued, and got our numbers to give us a call if anything open up, which ended up happening at about 10:15AM.
