I had a great stay! Great location, great for solo traveller. The only two points are that the aircon unit is super noisy at night, even when it's not on. And I think the room could do with a little chair or more hooks to put away clothes / towels.

it was a good place to stay at for a solid three days and I did enjoy the room granted it was a bit small, but it was commendable, and even though the flight of stairs are a bit of a hassle, but it was definitely worth the stay. and the room was definitely clean, which it was very amazing.

Be warned: no elevator and 5+ floor walkup on aging, tilted stairs. Also, communal bathrooms. So go in with your eyes open. Check in person was blase, couldn't really be bothered. They probably have to deal with people complaining about the stairs a lot. There was a bug in the shower, which weirdly had exposed brick. Zero places to out luggage or clothes and super harsh lighting. Interesting art unfortunately done by a local Zionist artist. Location was fantastic, though. Access to a fridge on the ground floor was also a nice perk.

We have this place a try as the prices are so high in Manhattan. It is a little quirky and plain but the bed and room overall were comfortable and reasonable. If you want traditional hotel level of decor you are going to pay more but if you want to save a little money with a perfectly reasonable experience in a great area it’s worth it.

Very good value, no thrills but if you are looking for a clean safe place to stay right in the centre of Manhatten then this is a very good option. Shared bathrooms and showers but clean and new and drinks facilities downstairs. 24 he reception staff very pleasant.

It is def a hostel, not a hotel. Shared bathroom was clean enough although I would not prefer it if NY was not so expensive because of UN. The room was def not comfortable; creaky bed and literally no place to put my belongings. Lots of street noise. No elevator, staircase was creaky and not neat. I knew this, yet struggled a lot with my large suitcase. Don’t stay there.

Don’t waste your time

Dingy sheets, dingy towels, loud street sounds, no rug, squeaky unstable bed (was supposed to be a King but it was a Queen sized bed) and smell of dead mouse in wall, no elevator, no in room amenities, loud hallways and just not a warm, inviting environment. I’ve never been to prison but I’m sure those accommodations are better. A waste of $250. If you want comfort do not stay here. After a hour in the room, I left and didn’t bother to stay overnight because it was such a dismal abode and such a disappointing experience.

Felt like student housing.

Chose because close to conference location and little availability that night. It is akin to a boarding house or student room - probably fine for bargain traveler. Location felt safe, but hotel feels slightly seedy. Room and bathroom were quite spacious. Fine for one quick night with no need to linger in room but would not return unless there were no other good options.

Great little place

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The rooms are very clean, nice bedding, great area, staff very friendly, great coffee. I was on one of the higher floors which if you’re not particularly fit could be an issue but for me it wasn’t. The only “complaint” is they use a really highly scented detergent for sheets & towels & I’m very allergic to fragrance so I would recommend going lighter on that but overall this is absolutely fantastic place to stay for the price
