It was a great stay! My one and only complaint was they did not have late checkout available when I was told they would. This caused a significant gap in between checkout and our flight.

Hotel with very bad service and rooms. Would not stay there in future.

On-site restaurant/bar seemed to be closed more often than open. I stopped by twice, once for dinner & once for cocktails and both times it was closed.

Very convenient to beach and good view of ocean. Room was comfortable

The hotel did not have any clean towels after our first night there. How do you not have clean towels??? The thermostat would not work properly so temperature would fluctuate quite a bit.

Good resort. Terrific view and breakfast. Good hot tub!

I will start out with the only good things about this resort: it's on the beach, front desk staff and the breakfast. The resort itself is badly run down. The lobby ceiling leaks, the elevators are dirty, they creak and moan when in transit. During our stay we were moved two times, three rooms. The first room was dirty, dusty, our feet stuck to the floor upon entering room and there was a dry, hardened wash cloth draped around the shower head. It was unacceptable. The front desk supervisor was very nice and accommodating. She offered to show me two more rooms. The second room I chose was in better condition but the toilet leaked, so we had to be moved again. The last room was no better but we were tired. The following day, I requested a separate room because the number of people in our room increased. I received a comp room but that room was dusty, rips in the carpet, the bed skirt was dirty and the pillows were yellowed and dirty. I took the pillow cases down to get clean ones. I was skeptical about sleeping in the bed. The balcony was filled with bird poop. The resort offers free DVDs but the remote controls were missing in each room. The resort needs a complete renovation and new housekeeping staff. In my opinion the housekeeping supervisor and staff should be replaced if the resort is to ever attract decent clientele.

Pros and cons. Pros: location and friendly staff. Cons: Arrived to a filthy room in 18th floor. Balconu was literally covered in bird feces. The chairs,table, hand railings and carpets were disgusting. The room has a bad odor and carpets were very dirty. Bathroom mirror had soap or toothpaste splatter, who knows how long it may have been there. Bathroom tub had some type of dirt on the outside. The whole room was disgusting. We went to the front desk immediately and ssked for a new room and were told there were none and they would send someone up to clean. As we stood there another couple came in and said they had no reservation and decided last minute to come to Myrtyl from Winston/Salem. Well, guess what, they were able to get a room AND the male clerk asked them what floor they would like. So I guess if you're an Orbitz discount guest at The Patricia (Not So) Grand there may be different rules. We waited an hour before calling the front to find out what time our room was going to be cleaned, we're told they ha contacted housekeeping, I asked them to call again. We wanted to sit and enjoy the ocean views and sounds from the balcony but couldn't. After 2 hours someone came and cleaned the balcony ( I still had to wipe down the chair handles and hand railings) there was still feathers and bird poop on the carpet outside the railing, not to appealing to look at. That was day 1. It was 2 more days before housekeeping came again. Horrible, dirty place.

Would stay again at this hotel. This hotel is centrally located on the strip. The room was nice enough to have both a street view and a beach view. There's a nice deck enough to sit out on. The room is pretty spacious. The bathroom could use some renovation. They are doing some renovations at the hotel currently. Just be aware you do have to park across the street and cross the street and walk back and forth each time you need the car. The front desk staff are super friendly and helpful though! The only negative I had was when we checked in we were given the wrong room number written down and told the wrong number so we walked into someone else's room by accident! No worries it was very quickly fixed and the front desk quickly apologized and within minutes we were on the beach.

This hotel is very hice and comfort I love is great

We booked this place because it was the only hotel that didn’t have reviews full of roaches. The hotel was decent. A little worn but it was fine. The bed was very comfy and clean. The couch was really bad. It sounded like it was going to break in half. The seats sunked in and who knows whats inbetween the cracks of all couches. There were 5 elevators in all. One of them sounded scary like it would drop any second. The bathroom smelled like urine. I called the front desk and they came to clean it but it still smelled badly. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience. The staff was very nice and fulfilled any requested we made. I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

Went for a nice weekend getaway but was so disappointed. Our room was in such bad condition. The carpet was nasty and ripped. The walls needed repair. The furniture was old and needed to be replaced. Even the window curtains were ripped. The bathtub was old and stained . I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Had room service everyday but had to keep calling for towels and for coffee and cups. Seemed like all room service did was make the bed nothing was ever restocked.

Good stay allows pets clean needs some updating in the lobby areas. Restaurant was good.

Front desk staff was great and very helpful. Room was good. Could have been cleaned a little more. The problem was with housekeeping and another employee who entered our room on multiple occasions without consent. We had a late check out for 12 noon and confirmed with the front desk. Four people entered my room between 1030 and noon. One while I was in the shower and another while my teenage daughter was dressing. I informed the hotel and they did nothing about it and another person entered my room. View from room was great. Construction in the pool area which we were not informed of but we used the indoor pool without a problem

Hotel was very close to beach. Ocean view was very good. It has a free parking lot and water park pass are included with the rent that worth $45 which was good.

Staff was very courteous and helpful. Parking was a bit more roomy than some parking garages I have seen in Myrtle Beach. I really enjoyed my stay.

This hotel needs to be shut down and renovated . It is in a poor state of repair

I booked through a third party site with a discounted rate. If I would have purchased through the company site and paid full price I would feel "6 rating" there was bird feces all over the balcony there were burn holes everywhere in the carpet on the balcony. There were stains on the carpet & furniture inside the room. There was mold by our door where the seam at the bottom of the door was not intact and allowed moisture in. The bathroom was so small but I understand that is an engineering issue.

good location but...
