The location is awesome - right on the beach! And pools inside and out in case you need clean water or a cooler option. There is an awesome bar and good pizza down stairs. There is a lack of security overall. The hotel doesn' t seem to lock any doors down at night. there is no internal lock on guest rooms. Daylight shows around the door. It needs a bathroom vent as well.

Perfect place for a vacation. Right on the beach, great view from the balcony and the place is exactly as described. I would rate it 10 out of 10 with the only very minor drawback is that if you're staying for more than a day or two there aren't many places to eat within short walking distance. But within 5 or 10 minute drive there are dozens so it's not a big deal. I hope to stay in the same place next time I go to Myrtle Beach

If you want a beach condo this is amazing place. Being on resort, you can use all the resort’s facilities. The beach view is beautiful. I would love to stay there again.

Overall a good stay, amazing views

My husband and I always love staying at the Sand Dunes resort. They’re always upgrading something, and you can’t beat the cleanliness/amenities they offer. The room itself was nice and clean, and had great views of the ocean. However, like any room, there were some issues. The beds were a nightmare to sleep in…if we would’ve been there any longer, we were gonna buy a memory foam topper to use…the bed felt like a very cheap old mattress with no cushion at all. The headboards were very wobbly and we were afraid it was gonna fall off, but thankfully it stayed put. The fridge was room temperature when we got there, we had to put a tray of ice in it for anything to get cold, even after following provided instructions. Definitely recommend taking a cooler with you for the room and keeping it filled with ice. As we were leaving, we took our trash out to find the big trash can was filled with a rancid orange-ish liquid that went everywhere..smelled like month old regurgitated seafood 🤢 Honestly other than that, it was good. The beds were our main issue-in desperate need of new ones!!!!

Overall good experience

The room was perfect size for 2 people. We had a fantastic view of the ocean. The place was clean. The only downside was that 2 giant cockroaches came out from under the bed in the middle of the night. I immediately took care of them and did not see anymore or other bugs. I think if they spray for roaches, this would be a great place to stay.
