I don't know if it was just our room in particular because it was located right next to the restaurant, but there were roaches of all sizes coming from everywhere once the lights were turned off. Also, that particular room is advertised as ocean front, but there's a set of stairs right outside the balcony that blocks half of the view. This is room 259.

To begin, we had a room in the Schooner building with an ocean front view. The room had plenty of space and the parking in the garage that lined up with the floors made it easy to load and unload luggage from the car. The room looked clean and was nice and cold when we walked in (summer temps at the time of visit were 88-95 Fahrenheit). The rooms could use a little bit of an update and some TLC in certain areas. There were places where the paint was removed from the wall in the bathroom near the shower and the look did seem dated; However, the RFID bracelets for room keys, USB chargers near the bed and flat panel TV (though small) were all nice upgrades. The room did have a full-size refrigerator in it, so that was a nice bonus. The pools were all fairly clean (as clean of sand as you can get so close to the beach) and all were well tended around them, and they never seemed overcrowded. The bar seemed a little expensive depending on what you ordered, and closed quite early in the night, so that was unexpected. The dining room breakfast was reasonable priced at under 13 dollars per person for buffet breakfast, though if going I would recommend going early to avoid a wait. All in all, a nice hotel, that was close to everything and yet far enough away from the busiest sections to avoid being a disturbance while sleeping.

Nice place, wonderful location on the beach. Unit needs better cleaning. Did not receive room service or fresh towels during our 2 night stay, even after calling the front desk.

The location is very good to the beach. The house keeper was friendly. The property was quite old. Needed alot of updates such as the carpet in the halls and the ceiling in the bathroom. The pool at our building need a good cleaning you could see the scum in it. It was quite loud at times.... people yelling in the halls at 11pm and loud slams of the doors all day. Our sink and shower was clogged. They came and fixed the shower but did not fix sink. The balcony door was unusable as it was very old and off track. I reported it but no one came to try to fix it. The front office staff could be friendlier. Didnt ask how our stay was or even a thank you. We would choose a different property if we return to myrtle beach.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Nice, clean property with several dinning and activity options.

Compass Cove is awesome

Check in and check out was good. Rooms look like the pics. Location good and everything is not in walking distance.

Compass Cove used to be one of my families’ favorite resorts to stay at. For sure not anymore. My husband and I booked a king room and were assigned to the Indigo building - more like the “In you DON’T go” building. It’s been cheaply renovated, mildew issues in the bathroom, and the baseboard on the floor were overall in need of a thorough clean and repaint. Our door handle was even missing the cover to the key sensor (it did lock but looked very sketchy). If I could share a photo, I would. Will probably not be returning unless it is guaranteed that we don’t get a room in the Indigo building.

The hotel is ok but the facilities are too old. The door lock in the room where I lived had a screw that fell off, and another was pop up, so it was difficult to lock the door

We choose breakfast as part of the package but we were charged 12 dollars per person.

When I booked I included breakfast but when I got there it was different. Had to pay for breakfast. The parking was a big problem. No parking at all.

My entire family loved this place!

Every single employee that I encountered was friendly, courteous, and helpful.

1st time staying here,it was an enjoyable but very short stay, room was good ,people friendly, food at both restaurants was good, the grounds were well maintained and it was not noisy,
