Very convenient location with easy access to the interstate. This seems to be an older property, but well maintained. Our room was a bit small, but very clean. The beds were great and we got a good night's sleep. The breakfast was OK, but we've had better at a few other Holiday Inns. Having said that, we would certainly return should our travels bring back this way. I should also mention that the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We travel several times a year and stay in holiday inn expresses along with other chains like comfort suites and best westerns and this hotel blew the competition away! As someone not familiar with Montgomery, I can wholeheartedly say that if the staff at HIE are representative of this city, then Montgomery is surely one of the kindest, nicest cities in the country! The ladies at the front desk and the lady in the breakfast area were lovely and friendly - such a great way to end a long travel day and begin a new one! In addition to the staff being amazing, the hotel room itself was everything we hoped for and more! Clean, spacious, and clearly well-maintained. This may seem silly but often hotels give you two towels if two people are staying in the room, but there were three towels in our bathroom. And they were nice towels! We had a great night’s sleep - a comfortable bed and quiet hallways. We stopped in the breakfast area to grab a bite to eat before beginning our travels and the food was so good! Blueberry Greek yogurt, yummy English muffins, tasty orange juice, and gooey cinnamon rolls! In short, this hotel absolutely presents itself as the kind that wins awards for the chain. We will be staying at this HIE for any future travel through Montgomery! Thanks again for a lovely stop!

The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was adequate and staff was friendly and accommodating. Location was just right for our activities in Mongtomery. I'd recommend it without reservation.

My visit here at Holiday Inn was very good. The hotel itself was in great shape, clean and very quiet.Staff was very friendly and helpful.Room's were clean and neat.I would stay here again for sure.Price was good also.

We were passing through Montgomery on the way to Orlando and this hotel provided a good, clean place to stay for a reasonable price. Check-in went well, and the room was comfortable and large for a HI Express. In the morning Mona, the Breakfast room supervisor, provided exceptional service while anticipating your every need. She is a one of a kind! And the breakfast was good!

I stay in a lot of hotels and this is one of the most annoying experiences I can remember. I don't believe I have ever given any hotel one star but this one, in my opinion, rates it. First, the good parts. The hotel itself is clean, the staff is cordial and its location allows easy access to several chain restaurants and delis. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms large in the room contains a small refrigerator and a very small microwave. The hotel has a swimming pool and an exercise room and a computer for general use use in the breakfast area. On my arrival there was a line at the front desk and only one person to handle it. Despite the obvious competence and sunny disposition of that staff member, check in was, therefore, unnecessarily long. During my stay I saw this scene repeated several times. In short, the front desk is understaffed. Breakfast is at 6:30 every morning. It would be more convenient if it started at 6 because some of us have to be places by 7 a.m. however the regular breakfast lady, who is quite the personality, usually does her best to accommodate. Her repartee is a bright spot in the morning! The free Wi-Fi is pathetic! It is weak and disconnects with blazing regularity. Luckily my rental Tahoe had Wi-Fi and I was able to use it to transmit reports when I needed to. Twice during my one week stay, when I returned to my room at approximately 5 p.m. it had not yet been cleaned. Once I can understand, but twice connotes either understaffing or poor time management or both. It is really aggravating to get back to your room and not be able to take a shower because you are concerned that it will not be cleaned while you are showering or that the housekeeping staff will not enter while you are showering and therefore because it is late, the room will not be serviced. The second time I had this problem it was rather interesting to note that the room across the hall was apparently being cleaned for over an hour. I find it rather amazing that it takes that long for someone, actually there was more than one person involved because there were had to be at least three possibly four cleaning carts on the floor at that time, to clean a bedroom a bathroom and a sitting room unless of course the previous occupant had died of the plague or something similar. In both cases I finally told a housekeeping staff member to give me some extra towels empty the the waste baskets and do the room the next day. I have things to do in the evening and I really cannot wait beyond a reasonable hour to have my room serviced. I kind of think that 5 PM is a decent upper limit. My room was supposed to be a king suite. Compared to similar others I have been in it was relatively small and narrow. Makes me wonder if this place hadn't been a Microtel at some time in its existence. I thought things had reached the epitome of annoyance, but I was wrong. I checked out early in the morning to find that there was no bill that could be had as the night auditor was processing the previous day's receipts. This is despite the fact that last evening I had asked specifically for a bill to be ready for me early next morning because I was checking out very early and was told that would be no problem at all! When I found I could not get a printed bill I left my email address with the young lady behind the counter who assured me she would email me my receipt. When I didn't get one in a reasonable time, between flights I emailed the manager whose card I luckily had taken at the front desk and he responded with a receipt almost immediately. I was very appreciative of that but still I should not have had to go to him when I had been promised a receipt earlier. The cherry on top of this torturous sundae is the price charged for the room. With the lovely flexible room rate that changed every night it went as high as $140 per evening! Considering what I went through it was definitely not worth it! The whole experience left an extremely bad taste in my mouth. I am a consulting engineer who does Industrial equipment startup, remediation and technical troubleshooting along with complex system audits all over the world. I have plenty of problems to deal with on a daily basis and usually work a 10 to 12 hour day after which I return to my room to grab a shower, a bite to eat and then do reports for several hours, reports that need to be transmitted back to the original equipment manufacturers every evening. When I stay at a hotel I expect it to be a refuge where I can work, not an annoyance! I am also a Holiday Inn rewards member at the highest level and stay at Holiday Inns or other IHG properties in preference to others because they are pleasant and their services and amenities are predictable, but at this point, although the staff is nice and the place is clean and well located, I cannot recommend staying here unless you are just passing through for a night on your way to somewhere else.

The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel staff was also very friendly and I appreciate the clean bathrooms, room and even the fridge was clean.I would stay again and recommend this hotel.

As we were driving from Greenville, SC to New Orleans, this was our mid-journey break. Clean and comfortable room coupled with good and well lit parking .... and it is just a stone's throw from the interstate. Breakfast is very good and Mona certainly makes the difference. Cheerful and polite, Mona brightens up your day :) Mona, keep up the excellent work and attitude! And if you are there, try their cinnamon rolls. Good stop along the interstate.

These were really sweet people. Everyone greeted us as we were walking through. The rooms were very clean. It was convenient to the interstate. The wireless internet was very fast. And they had cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

We stayed here for 6 nights while working in the area. The service desk clerks, and the breakfast crews, especially the breakfast crew were over the top great. The rooms and facilities was very clean. I highly recommend. Thanks crew!
