Upon arrival, my husband was checking in and another couple was leaving the lobby and the woman was simply shaking her head at me in the car. My husband informed me that they were leaving because their room was covered in mold. That should have been our first indication to leave. However, since we had already driven 14 hours and only intended to stay for a 5 hour "nap" we assumed it couldn't be bad enough to not meet out needs. When we got to our room, we took off our tennis shoes and our socks were soaked by the carpet which was soaked with "?" In the bathroom, the toilet seat was covered with urine and pubic hair, and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. The final straw for us was finding a red stain and what appeared to be pubic hair on the bed sheets. While the desk clerk was quick to refund us, this was a very disappointing and disgusting experience. If you are traveling through this area, I would recommend that you continue driving!
When we first arrived, the desk attendant told me that she could not find our reservation, and we must be at the wrong Qualtiy Inn. I showed her my printed out confirmation email, and after about 10 minutes, she found it. We got to our room, which did not really meet our expectations, but we were only going to be there for 2 nights, and thought we would just deal with it. The bathroom door wouldn't close. The air conditioner made a very loud banging noise, and it was overall just dirty and in major need of remodeling. We went to check out the pool, which was very important considering our 12 hours drive that day. Our kids had been looking forward to swimming when we got to the hotel. On the door of the pool area was a sign stating pool closed for maintenance. It appeared it had been closed for quite a bit. This was a deal breaker for us. We decided to just go talk to the front desk and tell them we were unsatisfied, and would be checking out. The desk attendant argued with me for 10 minutes as to why we shouldn't check out. She stated that the pool had been shut down by the health department due to the water being too cloudy. I told her no worries, we weren't upset, we were just going to go find a hotel with a working pool. She got very defensive, refused to refund me for our 2 night stay, stating that once you check in, they don't do refunds. We had been there 30 minutes. Enough time to haul in our luggage and find out the pool was out of order. We left anyway. Found a Holiday Inn right around the corner that bent over backwards to accommodate us. I called corporate the next week and they also refused to do anything about our experience. I called the hotel back and finally after much arguing, got all but $80 refunded from our $275 original charge. Horrible experience!!!!!
Rented room 6/30 and 7/1/17 and arrived to realize the air conditioner did not work. Staff said they were sold out and could not change room and could not repair air conditioner. Checked out on 7/2/17 with the promise from the staff they would call the number on file and make it right. We had to call them twice before getting a call back from the manager Angela who was rude and argumentative and told me she could give me $10 discount on one night and $20 on the other. Seriously! We asked for a fan to provide some relief and they did not have one. We opened the window because it was cooler outside than in the room (In Alabama in the middle of the summer...). Not to mention the room was dirty on top of being hot. I paid $273.86 to stay in a room without an air conditioner and then had the manager Angela argue with me. I would stay under a bridge before opting to stay here again.
Even though we got an room upgrade, I was disappointed. The room wasn't cleaned during 3 day stay, even though we told them the next day. There was a roach on the ceiling and the window sill had gunk on it. The refrigerator was so noisy, we unplugged it. The room location was also noisy, being near the air handler. The bathroom door didn't fit, so it wouldn't close. The plugs on the lamp were upside down, so my phone charger wouldn't fit, so I put a book under it. The lumpy pillow turned out to be stuffed with other bedding and pillowcase. The sink hot water valve was turned off, but worked when I turned it on. The breakfast was missing items which were replaced when we asked, but included no meats. The hot water for tea wasn't, but the server did get us some.
The staff was very friendly and very attentive to my requests. The hotel appearance was clean and welcoming. Hotel rooms were nice sized and clean. I enjoy the breakfast and the breakfast attendant was friendly and very accommodating. It was also a great place to host my business training meeting. I will definitely return and use the facility for my stay and meeting in the future. Thanks to all of the staff at Quality Inn.
Great customer service, big, nice clean rooms, breakfast every morning, the hotel is very nice and comfortable while feeling protected. I rate it 5 stars, the most satisfying hotel I've ever visited everyone is also very professional and handles everything very well.
I visited,while I live in the same city, I just wanted to get out. It was the best experience I've ever had at a hotel. Great customer service, clean HUGE rooms, breakfast. It's perfect! I would definitely visit again.
Stayed here for business in Mobile. We had a very pleasant experience. The rooms are very big. The stafc was attentive and very accomodating. So many restaurants nearby. Easy to find. And the indoor pool was an extra plus. Highly recommend
We came in for the Mullet toss and our other accommodations fell through. This hotel, the owner and management took care of everything ! The rooms were great, clean and breakfast rocked!! We will definitely stay her again. It was easy to find and close to all the restaurants and shopping. Thanks!
This was nice and the attendant was so super nice, helpful,sweet,very well mannered she deserves a raise or something big.. Her name was Dominique.. We have never had someone so nice to us or smiling as this lady was..
