We found the staff very friendly and accommodating, the lobby beautifully decorated, and the breakfast omelets cooked to perfection (not dried out under the heat lamp). We were disappointed that there was a parking lot fee of $12 per night, which we feel is exorbitant. A minor complaint is with the wood and steel furnishings in the bedrooms. I'll grant that they were quite functional, but they resembled playground equipment - not furnishings I would expect in a hotel that charges for parking. Also, the zero-entry shower stall was large and luxurious, but it lacked grab bars on the walls. (My mother refuses to shower in hotels without them.) Also, I prefer to have a sink outside the toilet room when there is no other sink to rinse out cups, spoons, etc. Other than that, the room was quiet and there was a good selection of TV stations.
Favian was very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. He went to great lengths to help me download UBER, speak to the tour operator I was booking my tour with to make sure I was going to the correct hotel/area for my tour pick up. Will not hesitate to recommend this hotel and Favian for a great short stay.
Very nice and brand new. We stayed here one night before leaving for a cruise. Great location close to restaurants and convenience stores. The room was clean and modern. Staff and front desk were friendly. Breakfast was good.
Pros- Close to airport, good breakfast, quick check in, large room with space for luggage Cons- Loud, planes come over, dirty (paper and toothpick on floor in bathroom, bed was terrible, sheets were rough and old There are many other hotels in the area, not impressed.
Very basic hotel, close to airport, front office very helpful, the air condition was very noisy and un efficient,no mini bar, bathroom need to be cleaned to shin again.free parking.there is un covered pool.
We arrived 1am and stayed for one night. Excellent breakfast for US-standards and clean, quiet rooms. Big rooms (we had two queen beds) and plenty of room for luggage. Minishop in the lobby was nice back up.
We spent 3 nights here as a two adults and a 2 year old. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are nice and modern. The location is spectacular, right across the street from the airport so every morning we were greeted by AA 777s. That was super cool. I love airplanes and so does my daughter and having them land directly overhead was very enjoyable for us. I like the breakfast - it had more variety than your typical Holiday Inn Express and the flavors were par for the course. The pool and spa were really nice. The pool temperature was a bit chilly to go for an actual swim, but great for dipping the toes in. The hotel is located right by the car rental center - which made it very convenient to return the car. It's situated pretty well too so getting in and out of the hotel to do sightseeing worked out well too. The front desk staff were great in my experience. They were very busy throughout the day though. I heard that it was near 98% occupancy for the month. You could tell by how often the phone was ringing. I would say the biggest negative I have for the hotel is the tiny windows and not so nice views. Our room wasn't facing the airport, so we looked at a building wall and the pool area. This meant the room was on the darker side. Overall, I'd absolutely stay here again. I think this much better value than the more expensive hotels on miami beach with the huge resort fees.
We booked a room at this hotel for day use following a 2 week cruise. The hotel is clean and modern. However, the staff let it down. We booked our room from 10am - 4pm. When we arrived we were told they couldn’t find our booking, even though we had an email confirmation. We were told the hotel was fully booked and were made to wait for almost 2 hours in the reception whilst Nancy, the front desk agent, tried to locate our booking. The hotel lobby area was busy with people, so it was rather embarrassing when the staff were making out that having a confirmed booking doesn’t guarantee you a room whilst other guests could overhear. After 2 hours a room became available from housekeeping and we were given our keys. I asked Nancy if we could speak to a manager and she advised that there were no duty managers on site. She advised that one was coming in later and that she would get them to phone us or come up and see us. I asked whether we would be able to stay later, given we were not allocated a room until 2 hours after the time we paid for it from, I was told no, and that check out was 4pm. I was still charged full price for the room, even though we lost out on 1/3 of our allocated time. On check out I asked Nancy if the manager was in and I was told that he had been and went. Nancy advised that the manager had only stayed 1 hour and then left. If I wanted to speak to a manager I would need to call and speak to one on the Monday after checking out. Overall the hotel was clean and modern but the embarrassing lack of professionalism from the front desk staff let the hotel down. The staff were rude and unhelpful to the point that they told us the rate we had booked on was a fraction of the cost of a hotel room there ($66 for a day room via dayuse.com) and that there would be no partial refund or extension to our time as we had paid so little. The front desk staff couldn’t care less that they had overbooked their hotel the night previous and that we had lost out on 2 hours of our booking due to something that wasn’t our fault. When challenged on this, they advised that when you have a confirmed booking there is no guarantee of a room. If you are wanting a hotel with good customer service - don’t stay here as you won’t find it. The front desk staff let the Holiday Inn brand down on this occasion. Never once did they apologise, instead they huffed, shrugged their shoulders, laughed and gesticulated to us whilst speaking to one another in Spanish. It was a horrendous experience overall.
We rented a Day room awaiting for a late night flight. Location is less than 5 minutes from the airport. The hotel is new and super clean, modern with great beds. We got there at 8 am when they were serving breakfast, and the attendants had a great customer service and kept areas clean. I hope they continue keeping it neat and clean and providing good customer service. I will definitely recommend you stay here.
The rooms are brand new and the latest HIE design, bright, cheerful and modern. The public spaces are great and the staff is so helpful. Beds are comfy and include duvets This is not what your HIE used to be.
