The staff kept deactivated my keys. Maintenance had to opened for me. Then they asked me to moved to a different room cuz the give us the wrong room. With no AC. Jesus! the bed had blonde hair on it. I checked out two days before check out date. The worst experience in my life
We were very disappointed. The room was dirty, we weren’t on the list for the beach, the wi-fi didn’t work. The front desk was not able to do anything because we rented a private room ( we didn’t know, we made a reservation for the Beach Walk, not private room). Mr. Cruz told us to stop calling him because nothing he can do. The service of the housekeeping was not regular ( we asked for cleaning everyday).
My main complaint is the room smelled like there there was a stench of smoke from previous guests. I'm pretty sensitive to smoking so I noticed it upon first entering the unit. After further investigation it turned out that the culprit was the people in the adjacent unit. The smoke was seeping through the connecting doors especially when they were smoking and also through the vents in the bathroom. Because the adjacent unit was owned by private owners I guess they felt that since they own the place they can do whatever they want. As a result for five (5) days I was in a smoke infested room. I notified the staff every single day and they said many different things like we are contacting them to let them know... that is unit is private and we haven't heard back from the owner, etc. At the end of the day they never fixed the issue and my throat became very soar as a result. I felt like the staff really had no recourse for solving the problem. I'm sure they must already know about the problem but hope that no one will complain. The unit I stayed in was 1509B and the offensive unit is 1509A. They will smoke morning, afternoon, and evening. The only break is while they are asleep.
