The hotel was comfortable in terms of the bed, bathroom was average clean. The room we stayed in faced the street and was right next to the Amtrack train line, it was so loud at night. I don't think I slept all night. We stayed for one night before leaving on a cruise, the price was low but not worth staying at if you are looking to stay multiple nights.

We were in the area for the Alabama College Football Playoff Game in Miami Gardens. The hotel was in close proximity to the Fort Lauderdale airport, so we booked it. The staff was friendly at check in. The lobby was clean and bright. When we arrived, our room was clean, but very dated ... think mid to late 1970’s. We returned after exploring the area and dinner on Friday evening, hoping to relax with some college football on TV, before we turned in for the night. We discovered that there was the most basic of basic cable TV service, local, over the air network channels, LOTS of shopping and Spanish language channels and retro channels from the 60’s and 70’s ... how very appropriate. We tried using the room phone to contact the front desk, but it was inoperable. I used my cell phone and asked how to get ESPN on our TV, and was told it was not available, but if we wanted to watch the game, we could come down to the bar. Tired from a long day of travel with my teenage son, that was not something that was going to happen. REALLY, in this day, who doesn’t have cable TV service available ? We tried to stream the game on our phones, but the Wi-Fi was so sketchy, we couldn’t get a connection. Thankfully, we did not spend a lot of time in our room during the trip. At least our beds were comfortable and there was hot water. We could have done worse, but, we could have done MUCH better for our accommodations. WAY over-priced for what it was. Wouldn’t stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

I reviewed this property back in 2015 and gave it a fairly positive review, the property looks the same however the rooms are a bit more dated and the bedding not as comfortable, some issue with bathroom door not closing correctly, could be just my room soni am not going to generalize the place as a bit off. Good service though as usual. The hotel is practical due to its proximity to FXE ( Ft Lauderdale Executive) .

We arrived to very sweet staff but out excitement shortly dwindled. I did feel the need to ask the receptionist if it was a safe facility after witnessing sketchy-ness out front. I will say that my first impression of safety was wrong; very quiet and well lit areas near the rooms. Our room still had rose petals on the floor near the bed. I had to towel clean the floor that resulted in a near black towel. The sheets appeared clean. The bed was super hard which was perfect for my firm liking. However, you may be hard pressed to find comfort if you like a softer mattress. Pillows were comfortable. My floor (5th) was quiet. The toliet ran all night and even jiggling the handle did not fix it. The microfiber chair had crumbs and stains on it that appeared fresh. We made a late dash to the pool and were impressed how well kept it was. A huge turn off was the strong marijuana smell throughout out facility to where my 4 year became inquisitive and I quickly blamed it on a skunk (although it very clearly wasn't). Overall and purely due to the desk staff, bed comfort, and amazing pool, I would stay again.

So my stay was one night jan 3-4. I arrived at 12:50 am the next morning and checked in. The lobby was beautiful. Got my room key and started heading there. Was on the 5th floor... great 😒! Started walking through the halls and it started to look like a run down hotel. In my head, ok the rooms gonna look better.... I’ve seen the pictures online. Get to the room... took me a while to get in cause the door was having issues and could barely close... couldn’t get worse right! Well yea ... stepped inside put down my things and there it was.... THERE IT WAS... trash and hair on the floor, McDonald’s bag on the floor, McDonald’s cup next to the bed on the lamppost along with some opened peanuts that spilled on the floor. So I’m like the f***... is someone here?? Started looking around more... no clothes no shoes so this must be my room. Looked in the bathroom ...there’s sh*t in the toilet and only ONE measly towel to bathe with... I was like oh HeLL NO. Picked up the phone to call the front desk and of course it’s not working.... I was madddddd. Pulled out my phone so fast and called the hotel. They told me to come back down to the lobby to get another room. So here I go again lugging all my sh*^t back down to the lobby. Sorry for the inconvenience..... blah blah blah and the front desk agent was so kind (he was probably the best part of my stay)proceeded to offer a king suite.. and of course I didn’t deny. Got the keys and this time I’m on the 3rd floor in a suite. This got to be good right? Walked in the room and it was just beautiful... I mean living room area, couches, kitchen area and then walked into the bedroom area which had a door separating the kitchen and living room area by the way. Nice huge King bed with a bathroom off to the side. It was wonderful but I immediately started searching around to see if there was anything there and if it was clean. It passed. By that time it was 2 going on 3 and it started feeling a little hot. Went to the AC vent and turned it on. I proceeded to gather my things to take a shower. Shower was nice. Came out and spotted hair on the floor and the toilet paper not fixed. I’m like REALLY!? Well it’s not that bad I guess.. put on my clothes and turned on the tv... wanted to watch something on Netflix but I couldn’t because the WiFi wasn’t working 😒. Looked for the phone, where was it no where in site. So I just settled to find something on tv. Got in the bed but quickly jumped back out because it was wet... began scaling the bed and smelling it to make sure it wasn’t pee. I was back to being mad. I worked as a Housekeeping Supervisor long enough to know that the sheets were not dried and the attendant was lazy and placed wet sheets on the bed.... after all of that I was hot. Went to the AC vent and nothing. I heard nothing and I could of swear I turned it on. I proceeded to turn it on again pressing the ON button and turning up the temperature... and NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING... soo there goes my night and my comfort.... i for sure as hell wasnt going back down to move again I just stayed there laying on the wet sheets and in the hot room... a waste of a suite... most uncomfortable night. In the morning, checkout process went smoothly and it better had because I was ready. I was ready for them. But I stayed calm for I know that the world will see. As for the hotel, the only good things about the hotel is the friendliness of the staff, the beauty of the lobby and the pool. Maybe the restaurant too but I wouldn’t know because I didn’t eat there. I walked in and walked out. Other than that. The hotel is trash. Looks run down. The elevators look like they belong in a horror movie with one elevator light and dirt and old. There’s water leaking everywhere from the Acs on the balcony... that needs to be fixed it’s a hazard. And they need better housekeepers. Been in two rooms and both were unacceptable. Can’t imaging the other rooms. Will NOT be coming back.

We booked this hotel last minute, as we had driven to Fort Lauderdale and arrived earlier than anticipated. We needed one night of accommodation before we got our condo for the week, and the price was “right” and the pool area looked nice. The check-in staff were, in truth, the only highlight in our brief stay. We got a room quickly, but upon entering, we were overwhelmed with how awful the room smelled - it was a mix of cellar and sewage. The beds were made in a haphazard manner that made it difficult to tell if the room had actually been cleaned. The TV did not work, and the toilet was running. Most concerning, however, was the fact that the door did not close properly - on the main floor. Within 30 minutes, we realized this was not the place for us and asked for a refund.

The reviews are accurate. It is right by a train track and it runs (and honks) pretty much hourly. The price was good. It’s old but our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a king suite with a pull out couch. The couch bed was in pretty bad shape. Super old and the mattress was a joke but the kids still managed to sleep on it. The staff was really nice. We arrived really early and they managed to get us into our room well before the check in time. Our thermostat and tv remotes didn’t work but we asked housekeeping for help and within minutes maintenance was at the door and fixed everything. I didn’t catch his name but the maintenance guy was super friendly and efficient. We saw him several times around the property while we were there and he was always very friendly. Ruthie did a great job taking care of our room as well!!

So close to the train tracks I could have sworn the train might be coming through our room any minute. Train came through SEVERAL times through the night. Not the cleanest rooms. Rooms were not stocked with any toiletries, not enough towels or bedding for the people we had staying in the room. When we went to the front desk they only had one blanket left and it wasn’t clean and looked old and worn. The next morning I tried to take a shower. The water never warmed up so I took a quick shower. My mother tried to take a shower immediately after me and ended up with a cold shower as well. When I went to the front desk to ask for a room with hot water, so my children could at least take a warm shower, the lady working the front desk asked if I had let the water run for 15 min. The worst part is she was dead serious. Are you kidding me?? You have to let the water run for 15 minutes before it warms up?? She told me to go let it it run for 15 minutes and if it still Wasn’t warm to come back to the front desk. 🙄 she was right, letting it run for 15 minutes solved the problem, but that is ridiculous. I hate to waste that much water and it would have been nice if someone would have told us at check in since it was clearly a known problem.

I was off to a rough start w/hotel arrangements. Fort Lauderdale Grand hotel was the 2nd hotel assigned to me after being deceived by pictures at the other. I arrived at Fort Lauderdale Grand hotel finally satisfied. Beautiful hotel. The lighting was intriguing. Up until getting my room which was located at the very end of the hall next to the stairway. As a female who watches alot of lifetime movies & unsolved mystery shows, I try to be as cautious as possible when traveling alone for work. I then returned to front desk to explain to the clerk I was afraid & requested either a 1st floor room or one nearest the elevator. The clerk was very short & firm stating there was nothing else available . As I asked for a suggestions on another hotel to relocate, the general manager came out & asked was there a problem. I explained to her my fear of staying alone near the end of the hall next to the stairway. She logged on, reassigned me a new room & told me to call front desk if I have a problem w/that room. Low & behold she assigned me an executive suite on the 5th floor My view was amazing! The lighting around the pool was super cool.My only problem at that point was that I was only staying one nite. Thanks to the general manager Ms.Keisha for making that 1 nite a great & pleasant experience. I will certainly return when working in the Fort Lauderdale area and refer my colleagues.

We last night to get a place close to the airport. They town our car over night and they stayed they give us a parking pass that they didn’t, when we ask the manager to check on cameras she said “I do not have time for it” and left us with a number to recover our car ourself. We pay 55 per the night plus $150 to recover the night!!!! And they still don’t give us a solution or an explanation. The front desk agent was rude and told my husband “stupid” several time... terrible service and terrible rooms as well, considering the price is almost the same as others, it don’t worth your money!!!!!
