I book this hotel for our visit to McAllen under the assumption that my room had a kitchenette & there was a continental breakfast served. We never saw anything breakfast related & yes there was a kitchenette in our room but there was nothing to cook with. I refuse to go buy pots & pans on vacation just to leave them there. They should have already been there or offered to me at check in.
The room was very clean. The maid was very friendly and helpful. The bed needs replacement really bad. The receptionist was very happy to tell me on sunday morning at 09.05 that i could not have any coffee .That was sad..... Breakfast was horible....
Good night sleep for the money. Simple furnishings but comfortable. Easy access.
This hotel is in perfect location for my trip to attend a concert at State Farm Arena. The room is big, clean and comfortable. I didn't need to use the wifi because I have my own iPhone. The breakfast is not lavish, but served the purpose. The front desk clerks, especially the night (young man) were cheerful.
The staff was very accommodating and helpful when asking for directions and addressing any issues. It was a perfect stay for me. i noticed if any family would like to come and atay that there are rooms with kitchens, fridge, micro, and also another room. I honestly loved the stay and will go back there again the next time I visit McAllen.
Didn't try the breakfast so I can't provide details. Only thing that doesn't make sense is that only one set of towels for one person when it was a reservation of 3. It would have been perfect other than that
The location seemed far out and it wasn't what I expected from a 3 star but for the money paid it was fine.
I paid for my room very early in the morning. I came back that eve, they said I hadn't paid. The police were called and since I had no reciept, i had to leave. The key wouldn't work in the door, so i gave it a light kick. I was arrested for criminal mischief.
When you own your own business and you travel shaving overhead is a must. This hotel had a nice big room. It was right beside a Burger King and a Stripes so I could walk across the parking lot and get anything I needed. Some of the guests there were a little loud but that's about it. Overall it was a good stay and I'd recommend it if you want to save some money
This is a very cheap and sparse property that is not really located very close to the airport. The taxi was 16.00 to the airport. I would not stay there again as there are other hotels located within walking distance to the airport (right across the street) which would make this hotel a non choice for needing a night stay before an early flight out I travel a lot.
APPARENTLY I HAD OVERSTAYED MY WELCOME, WHEN THEY GET BUSY WITH THEIR REGULAR CUSTOMERS, YOU ARE NO LONGER WELCOME. THE PRICE GOES UP AND THE SERVICE GOES DOWN. AT FIRST, THE FIRST FEW DAYS, IT WAS GREAT, DOWN HILL FROM THERE.
The web site says "Close to the airport and mall", but that is not exactly accurate, but it is still a really nice room for the money. It is close to Mexico, though. Great value, I would reccomend a stay there. Big rooms! Fridge, micro, coffee maker, pool, HBO, continental brkfst, it is OK>
Great place for the price. Nice big rooms with fridge and micro. Not the greatest location, but look at the price! The only reason the price is so low, is that the location leaves something to be desired. All in all this is a great value. I would recomend it to anyone.
If you stay at this place for one day it's ok but any more then that no thank you. The serve there is terrible like we had our bed sheets changed once during the time we were there and getting enough towels for 2 people I had to go to the front office to get some more plus getting coffee for the coffee machine I had to go to the office too. I will never make reservations there again and I hope you pass this on to other people thinking of getting a room there.
Not bad if your crossing the border. I was about 5 miles away from the crossing I believe. The motel is out in the middle of no where. First night came to my room and a party was going on a few doors down :-(. Tried to request a refund and they refused. Room was clean and very spacious. King bed, sofa, desk and safe in the room. Probably won't stay there again. Too out of the way.
VERY COMFORTABLE EXCEPT THE STAIRS IT WA S HARD FOR US TO CLIMB BECAUSE WE ARE SENOIRS EVERYTHING ELSE WAS OK
As soon as I walked into the office to check in, receptionist made us feel welcomed. Room was better than expected. The breakfast was simple yet enjoyable. Will definitely be booking again!
This was just the location I needed for my one night in McAllen. The motel was a little out of the way for my visit but that was not a factor considering the price. The only problem I encountered was that the TV had a problem. The sound was not available on some channels. Some channels had the background music but no voice. A strange problem. I made the front desk clerk aware of the problem when I checked out.
Thought I was getting a cheap sleep place close to where I was working. Got quite a surprise. The room was huge. Ceramic Tile floor, fresh paint. Very nice roo with a sofa and desk. Under $50! Check in staff was very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast is nothing to write home about, but the great value of the room makes that a small point
The hotel was clean and the room was really nice. There is not much close by but if you are looking for a quality place just to stop and sleep then it is a good bargain.
