The hotel is okay overall. The front desk receptionist up on arrival was cold and not very friendly. The room was big and spacious, which was nice, but the open layout makes it impractical—if someone is in the living area while another person needs to sleep, it doesn’t work very well. Additionally, there was a moldy smell in the hallway leading to the breakfast area. Overall, I would rate this hotel 4 stars.

It was our first stay at this Marriott. We had booked once before a while back, but when we arrived the room we had reserved was NOT the room we were given so we left & went next door to the Hilton. So on this stay we once again had a room with a terrible view. Having said that the room was big & comfortable, sort of. We prefer King size beds & the room had queens. The breakfast was free, but very limited, and pretty much bland. The staff were excellent. We checked in quickly with no problems. They were always happy to help with whatever question we might have had. We'd stay there again, preferably with a view of the gulf.
