The breakfast was great and the rooms were nice and clean.

The property was clean. The rooms were a little small.

It was clean and visible to the freeway. And it had an available room.

Nice place all around, recommend for future stays.

Great front desk staff. Good breakfast. Good location right off interstate

The room was very clean and nice. Plenty of room...and a comfortable bed!

Made it to our booked hotel, super tired. Once we sat down I looked around to admire the nice room, liked, pulled the covers back got my bag to change looked back at bed with anticipation and there's a live roach standing on top of pillar. I panicked. My husband went to front desk asked for bug spray just to kill it and get out of there they had no spray but moved us to new room. My husband suffers with ptsd he had taken his med. already was out like a light , but my light in my head seeing that roach on top of the pillar like a welcoming committee wouldn't dim . I was uncomfortable all night couldn't wake my husband . Made a complaint that morning to manger, let her know I was the primary driver, She said , since I paid though Expedia she didn't know how much to refund me, but apologized for my experience. And for some reason said added you know thats the south for you, refering to the bugs, but i didn't understand the reasoning behind that because that's not my southern experience nor hotel experience. If my husband hadn't taken his medication we could've found a different hotel, wish I had space to tell you all of the activity leading up to this final reservation to get a good night sleep to travel from Marshall, Texas. to Atlanta Ga. Just wanted to have a better reception for a peaceful sleep. When orbitz called the hotel about our refund they said they changed our room we stayed all night with no complaints.

The hotel was difficult to get to and some deep potholes right before the entrance were a hazard. Therewas hardly any toiley paper in our room and no extra, So I had to request additional rolls. Also had to exchange the iron, as it had gunk all over the metal plate. They seemed to be short-staffed but the employee-in-training working the front desk was very nice. Breakfast was good and the morning staff were friendly. Patrons did not seem to obey the no-smoking signs upstairs where our room was. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

We've been here a few times and it's still an OK place to stay. I did notice that their options for breakfast seem to be thinning out and the room we checked-in to was musty and the carpet was damp??. The front office staff was nice at check-in and out. Compared to the other locally available hotels this still would be first choice for us.

The only thing really was the TV..Not all the channels are available like you'd have on regular cable at home and the room smelled musty. The staff was nice the breakfast was good. The location could be in a better spot. Off the side of the road can leave you wondering if someone will break into your car overnight.

Hotel looks brand new. Everything was nicely appointed. Beds were outstanding. Best hotel bed I have slept on in years. Morning breakfast was good, but eggs and bisquits were dried out from sitting under the heat lamp. Would do much better with a cover on them. Overall, one of the nicest experiences I have had in a very long time.

Very good, staff knowledgeable, clean room, fair price. On the high end for this town, but worth it.

We went to a family reunion in Jefferson TX. The room was clean. They could use some more luggage carts. We counldn't get a cart when we needed it when we checked out. It is a little hard to find.

Discovered a nasty stain on curtain sheers. The remote did not work. The bathroom door squeaked constantly. The radio buzzed off and on all night like it had a short in it. However, we brought these things to the attention of the manager the next morning and were given a full refund! I will stay at Holiday Inn Express again because the rooms are larger as it the bathroom, but I may not stay at this particular property again. Excellent breakfast room staff - made all of us feel at home! Waited on us hand and foot! Advertised as "brand new" but multiple problem areas put us off a little - especially the stain on sheer curtains that looked like either blood, chocolate or catsup!

Good, clean hotel. Only issue was a front desk person who was not from Marshall and couldn't tell us any helpful hints on interesting things to do around town, and the hotel had no literature to give out that was helpful either. Additionally there was a very loud noise at 4am that lasted about and hour from the premises next door which is a truck stop. Don't know if this is every night on only during our stay.

The overall amenities of the hotel we're above avg but there was one hiccup and that was the man that checked us in. Even though he did an ok job he wasn't very friendly. Tapping his fingers and humming music looked more nervous than professional. I did visit him one other time about my key not working and he never mentioned that it's possible that a CC or cellphone would deactivate the card. Which most ppl have nowadays. It was the second time I went to the desk that the attendant asked if that's what I had done. Had I known I would have not done that and avoided the extra trips to the front desk. The breakfast was excellent on the weekend but Monday the food had been sitting awhile and the biscuits we're hard. Other than that the other ppl at the hotel we're polite.

clean, quiet and comfortable

The girl at the front desk was a little unsure of what she was doing at checkin, but everything turned out pretty well. There was a softball tournament in town, and there were kids EVERYWHERE being noisy and unruly, but the hotel was great overall.
