The staff was very friendly however we were charged to store our bags for an hour and our air conditioning did not work. The hotel was booked solid so we couldn’t move rooms. Our experience wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great either.
Stopped here for two nights, picked the hotel for proximity to Victoria train station. Two rooms booked, my partner and I ended up with a room in the basement. Walking along the corridor to our room there is a whiff but couldn’t place it at first. Got in the room and the smell was a lot stronger and we thought it could be the air con unit so turned it off. Room was right next to a generator outside which was accessed through a door from our room, I am a light sleeper so on the way out I asked if it was possible to move but informed hotel fully booked and to check back in the morning. Left for a few hours came back and the room still smelt, opened the door to the outside area (discovered it wasn’t locked and no way to lock it....another door possibly to another room also opened on to this outside area so not safe). Shoes off and the carpet is damp....so that’s why the room stinks! Complained at reception next morning and the lovely lady on here changed our room and refunded the first night in full. Second room much better, as previous reviews rooms are small but this was expected. This hotel needs to sort out the damp issues in the basement before allowing more guests to stay in them.
Service was good. Outfit a little bit snappy. Room was very tiny but compact and clean. Location excellent. We liked most the neighborhood. It was near Victoria station, but still very quiet neighborhood.
This was our second visit based on our first experience. Pleasant, polite & helpful staff. So convenient from Victoria Station. Nice size room again, they offer a continental breakfast but it’s more than you usual run of the mill continental breakfast. The only down side is the size of the breakfast room, it’s a little cramped. Will visit again
My friend and I stayed for one night in a double bedroom. The bed was very comfy and there was ample space to store clothes, despite it being a very small room. The chair provided was incredibly uncomfortable, so we spent most of the time sat on the bed. The bathroom was very nice and probably very recently decorated. However, we were in one of the basement rooms and the ceiling was pretty low. As a result, the shower head was lowered and I didn't fit under it to wash my hair! I'm relatively tall (at 5'11"), but I think anyone taller than 5'7" might struggle to have a shower. In terms of noise, our bedroom was right next to a generator which was very loud, even with the window shut. We were really tired so this noise didn't stop us from getting to sleep. However, noise from upstairs (I think we were below the kitchen) woke us up at about 5 and noise outside our room woke us up again at 6. The breakfast included a nice range of drinks and food and the eating area had a lovely vibe to it. The location was also amazing. It was on a quieter street, so road noise wasn't an issue. but it was still close to Victoria. Overall it was a pretty average hotel that was good for a short trip away.
It is not a 4 stars but the rooms are clean and just re-decorated! Unfortunately our room was on the underground floor and below the breakfast room so slightly noisy but for one night was fine! I think that I would go back as per London is a fair place and the location is perfect! By the way, you need to pay 2 pounds if you want to leave your luggage in storage...
2 pound for a suitcase storage within the day you check out, more pounds charge for overnight storage Air conditioner provided in rooms additional, strange smell in Tap water, but they provide complimentary glass bottles of still water
The room was tiny but clean and the staff was nice. The neighbourhood is really pretty and the hotel is just a short walking distance from buckingham palace and westminster. We will definately come back to astors belgravia.
The hotel is located 15 minutes walk from the Buckingham Palace, very close to many sights. So the location is amazing. The continental breakfast was very good with many options. The breakfast room is very tiny though. The only problem with the hotel is, that the walls are paper thin, even the outside walls of the rooms, so even with closed windows you can hear what people speak on the street and all the street noise, plus of course your neighbours, too. Othervise nice experience.
i will recomed this hotel to my freinds and family and i will go there again when ever i am in london it was very clean the staff were very helpful and the food was very good .i wanted more teabags and as soon as i asked they were brought to are room really fast
