Our experience at the Chesterfield Mayfair was wonderful from our initial greeting by John at the front desk. The rooms were very nice, right down to the robes and slippers. Breakfast (included in the rate) was very good, as was the service in the dining room!

The Chesterfield Mayfair is an excellent hotel, located close to many sites in central London. It is a 7 minute walk to Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Hyde Park, Green Park, and James Park. The Tube is a 6 minute walk from the hotel. And their are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly. And the maid service is top notch. I would stay at the Chesterfield Mayfair again.

English charm and American value. Everything you would expect from a boutique property plus convenient location to restaurants, theatre, and attractions. Service was a true delight and the restaurant and lunge are quite good!

Would highly recommend. We had a fantastic time and was there for 4 nights.

Room was so well appointed- everything you could ever want! So comfortable! Staff at the desk were so engaged & eager to help- Charlie was so warm, kind & made that extra effort that makes the difference! Tony, the concierge provided amazing adventures to Paris, castles, Shakespear's birthplace, Oxford. the Cotswolds, etc. with a genuine interest in providing memorable experiences. And James, Freddie, Vincent, Ian & Antonio & pianist, John in the bar were SO elegant, talented & invested in creating a relaxing experience. We would be remiss in not acknowledging the many background staff who delivered coat hangers & fresh cream to our room & created tasty midnight meals when we hadn't had the chance to eat all day. Charlie at the front desk & the doorman, Norbert, totally personified the essence of the Chesterfield! We'll be back to celebrate our 25th anniversary!!!

This is a hotel that we will book at every time we visit London. It is clean, the staff is wonderful and after being a tourist for a few days, the facility enables you to relax.

Elegant classic hotel perfectly located within walking distance to many museums, shopping, restaurants and sights. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. The room was a good size with nice amenities, comfortable and very clean. It was always nice to return to our room at the Chesterfield after a day of sightseeing and shopping. Loved the hotel bar and piano player! We highly recommend this hotel.

Never a question when going to London, but to stay at my favorite hotel - The Chesterfield. May not get to London as often as I wish, but The Chesterfield is always my London destination, where I am assured of quality location, excellent staff, accommodations and service. None better.

The hotel is in a great location, near lots of interesting restaurants and central to everything. The hotel itself is charming and has a lovely bar and restaurant. The room was quiet and spacious and the bed comfy. Went to the theater, Soho and Buckingham Palace. Great pre-cruise visit!

I was traveling for the first time in London and wanted to stay in a safe area. This hotel was wonderful and easy to get to. Highly recommend.

I've now stayed here several times on short business trips and love it: the location is perfect; easy to walk many places, with taxis always nearby. Very pretty, small, clean hotel with great service. A 24 hour bar for hotel guests is a real rarity in London. Rooms are small but very comfortable and luxurious with high end amenities. No spa or fitness center on site, but nearby options.

The Chesterfield Mayfair is top notch from start to finish. I was feeling under the weather when I arrived and the bar staff immediately gave me hot tea with honey/lemon which actually did help. They even sent honey up to the room later so that I'd have it in the event that I took tea in my room. The room was a deluxe king bedded room that was fairly large by British standards, but tastefully decorated and very comfortable. My room featured two windows that opened for fresh air which is always a plus with me. The bathroom was not large but very well appointed and modern, including an illuminated rainfall shower which was awsesome. The staff was really a standout at this property, they truly could not have been nicer or done more to make for a pleasant stay.

This hotel was our first stop in the UK, and everything was great from the friendly staff to the delicious afternoon tea, the bar that stayed open late, and the free wifi. No complaints!

We enjoyed a pleasant stay for one night. Helpful staff worked to accommodate an early check-in. Room was small but luxurious, free wifi was a bonus (ask at reception for username/password). Honest & helpful staff – my wife left her purse containing cash in the bedside table. One call confirmed it had been located & placed in the hotel safe for pickup later.

The hotel is first class and the restaurant was great- friendly people. We loved the location- central to everything. We walked every where. I would go back again but ask for a different room if we got the "study room" too narrow and no room.

We have stayed at the Chesterfield Mayfair several times, and it remains one of our firm favorites whenever we escape for a week in London. The hotel's management keeps high standards, and the staff is unfailingly helpful and kind, while the rooms are attractively decorated (yes, a bit small by US hotel standards, but not too scrunched up). The location is quiet yet central, and is within easy walking distance of such necessities as Starbucks, Pret a Manger, the Green Park tube station, Piccadilly Circus and many outstanding restaurants. The Chesterfield's bathrooms appear to have been recently renovated, resulting in, amongst other attractive new fittings, a fabulous Australian drench showerhead with perfect water temperature and pressure. We felt very pampered under its welcome flow after long days of sightseeing and shopping. The Chesterfield's restaurant was also superb, with outstanding food, service and wine selections. We have never had a bad meal there. The ground floor bar is also an appealing place for a drink, a bite or just a quick coffee. We could not recommend this hotel more warmly for its price, calibre and neighborhood - you get what you pay for, and it's most worthwhile.

The hotel is in a great location. It is about a 5 minute walk to the Green Park tube, and within walking distance to Buckingham Palace, and other sites. Many great restaurants and pubs nearby. The breakfast prices were a bit high, but there are many choices available on Picadilly. Situated in a very posh and quiet neighborhood. The staff was very friendly without being intrusive. I want to give them 5 stars but morning newspaper was not delivered as promise and I had to remind the front desk twice. Otherwise, we had a great stay and will most likely stay here again.

This is our favorite hotel in London. Always has been. Great location in Mayfair. An easy walk to theatres and Harrods.

We were very pleased with the hotel and room. It was their standard room but very nice although small compare to US hotels of similar quality (we understand this is typical). The only problem we had was with the air conditioning which worked fine the first few days but on the 4th night the room was getting warm even though the air conditioning was set to it lowest (19C). They were not able to fix the AC for our last night but we were given a fan which helped a lot. Other than the AC everything else was great. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast seemed a little too expensive (22 pounds) so we ate at other local cafes. Buckingham Palace was about a mile away but it was a very nice walk through Green Park. Big Ben and the Churchhill war museum were about another half mile away but still the walk was pleasant through the St James park.

Although we had made reservations on Orbitz weeks in advance when we arrived at the hotel after a long days journey we were told there were no rooms left. We were given a room at a nearby hotel. So the moral of the story here is just because you book a room on Orbitz at this hotel, don't think you will actually stay here.
