I booked a blocked of rooms for my upcoming wedding, after reading reviews, and also completing a walk-in tour with a great front office agent and sales rep, I was excited and believed I had found the perfect location for my wedding guest and family to stay. I was also amazed with how professional, prompt, and polite Sales team were in helping me reserve the rooms for my special wedding weekend. After speaking with family members no one had any problems checking in and staying at your hotel. Sadly to say my check-in experience was un-delightful to say the very least. Upon arrival I was greeted by front desk agent Raphael, who at first spoke politely until he asked for my name and had a hard time hearing me since I can admit I am soft spoken at times. Raphael seemed annoyed since there were several other last names that matched mines, do to my family also having reservations at this hotel, and had to repeat himself several times to make sure he had the correct name and room. There was confusion with the number of rooms I requested which was only 1 under my name and when I politely told Raphael he was saying I had 2 rooms. I knew it had been a mistake due to bad communication between either myself or Sale's. But it seemed Raphael was not having it, he went off, admittedly informed me of the policies if i was to cancel it. I notified him that i was aware and would just need to speak to Sales of these mistakes. Raphael did not provide a manager or sales rep to come out to assist us with the confusion. After just wanting to get away from how rude this staff member was toward myself and family I checked in. unfortunately the next night, right after my wedding to mention, I needed to get a copy of my room key and was confronted by the same desk agent Raphael, who appeared to be having another bad night, rudely gave me my key and when I had informed him of his behavior he replied that he was "employee of the month" and told me as I was going away "you"ll be alright'. Although my weekend stay at this hotel was great everyone else from housekeeping to other desk agents were excellent, but one bad apple does spoil the barrel and it is due to this that I cannot provide an excellent survey but as spoken by your employee of the month "you'll be alright".
This place is okay, but really needs to step up its game. The faux suites are very dated. On check-in, I was told they do not give points if you forego housekeeping. I am a business traveler and a Marriott Gold Elite Member. That means I've spent about 60 nights this year at Marriott properties. This was the first Marriott I've ever seen that did not offer points in lieu of housekeeping. The bathroom has a bathtub and a saggy shower rod which meant the shower curtain stayed in the middle of the rod and would not keep water in. The fixtures are very tired. There is no freezer in the dorm fridge, so I could not use freezer packs for my lunch. There are plenty of electrical outlets but bring a surge protector anyway to preserve your electronics. The in room coffee is meh. The staff was really friendly and I appreciated that. This hotel is noisy! There was a knock-down drag out fight in the room next door at 2:00 AM on night, complete with frequent F-bombs and thrown things on the other side of my headboard. Running untended children were a frequent sight and sound. The place is clean. This hotel lacks any sort of "pop," that little bit of something extra that makes it special. There are plenty of other choices nearby. Do stretch your legs at Stonecrest Mall next door.
Would not recommend. Very outdated with old furniture and fixtures. Elevator (1 of 2) out of order. Bathtub dangerously slippery. Refrigerator didn't work. Sheets too small for bed so everytime you turn over sheet comes off and exposes mattress which has lots of stains. Mattress covers inadequate. Clearly not leak proof. Yuck. On a positive note, staff was friendly and helpful.
Facility clean and functional. Breakfast was delicious. Not the typical grab a muffin. Every staff member we saw greeted us and they were all very friendly. Recommend for families or business travelers.
We stayed here for a family reunion in June and our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. Our check in went smoothly and the staff behind the counter was very courteous. The service people everywhere were very nice and polite especially Rafael who worked tirelessly with us in getting the banquet room ready to our liking. The rooms were nice and clean and we slept very well. The rooms are equipped with microwaves, mini refrigerators and coffee makers in which we used all three. We had free WiFi and free access to business center. The only negative aspect was the missing waffles and omelets at the weekend breakfast. This hotel has a small pool but it was perfect for the kiddies. The kiddies had a wonderful time. The adults were able to use the dining area during the day to play bingo and evening to fellowship. This hotel is also conveniently located off of I-20 and is within walking distance to Stonecrest Mall, several shopping stores and restaurants. No worries if you are driving because the parking is spacious and free as well. I highly recommend this hotel for any business trips/meetings or any trips with your friends and family. This will be the ideal hotel to host your next family reunion, wedding, corporate affair or any other special occasion to celebrate because they have a banquet room that can accommodate large or small groups.
Visited this hotel last month as we needed a weekend away from home. This was not in downtown (which is what we wanted) yet close enough to all major attractions. Very clean rooms and lobby and super polite staff. Had several restaurants nearby and stores. It was right off of interstate and very easy access in and out. Would definitely return next time we head to Atlanta for all the great fun places to visit.
I checked in at 1 am in the morning due to flight delays, clerk very nice. I had requested a ground floor hotel close to the entrance and was given the first room off of the lobby. Great. The breakfast was great every day, oatmeal is home cooked, not instant. Nice clean rooms with clean towels and amenities.
Grounds/Parking Lot: Well maintained. We had no problems finding a space any time we parked. Check/In Lobby: We had arrived to check in a little after 4. The clerk behind the desk was by herself. She was doing her best though. Our interaction with her was fine. We stayed in a room on the 4 th floor. Room seemed clean upon entrance. Oh and big plus that thre AC was nice and cool! Breakfast area was clean and stocked with all the typical hotel breakfast stuff. Whenever my husband and I stay in a hotel room we will always pull back the covers and make sure the sheets look ok. And we always have lysol that we spray. The last thing we do before we leave a hotel is pull off the sheets to to help make sure that the nect guest is getting a clean set a sheets. I snapped these pictures right after my husband pulled the sheets. There, right in the middle the bed, 2 nasty stains. 2 stains thhat we had just spent the last two nights sleeping on top of (unknown to us). So when go to check out I of course go and show the clerk the pics I had just taken. She went and got the manager. She seemed shocked also at what I was showing her. The manager ended up refunding one of our nights we paid. And to be honest I really didn't expect anything. So I definatly appreciate the credit. The hotel is right across the street from the mail. Also lots of places to shop at and eat close by.
Late arrival into Atlanta and needed a stopover prior to road trip. Hotel was 30 mins from airport and a great port of call on the road west and quite grateful given bad storm. Good quality environment with really friendly service. Good breakfast with much to choose from. I would stay again.
We had advanced reservations checked-in 10:30 no parking spaces had to park next door in empty lot on other side of hotel next door (husband recovering from mild heart attack week before) No accommodations from front desk for inconvenience.... at 12:15 to 1:15 small child continually jumping off bed running around room above us (hotel desk did take care of issue after calling.... breakfast was ok, have had better at other Fairfields
