I’ve stayed at this ALOFT location a couple of times, and while it has a convenient location and a few friendly team members, the experience has been mixed overall.
The hotel staff are mostly friendly and helpful, but they seem very understaffed. There’s often only one person working the front desk, which means if that person is helping another guest, you may be waiting quite a while. On one evening, the bartender was actually covering both the bar and the front desk at the same time — he handled it with a great attitude, but understandably, it created long waits for everyone.
Each time I’ve stayed here, there’s been at least one thing in the room not working properly (like shades or lights), which gives the impression of inconsistent maintenance. Since housekeeping only comes every third day, guests need to request restocks of items like coffee or towels — a good thing to keep in mind so you don’t find yourself without essentials early in the morning!
Overall, the hotel is basic and met our needs for the trip, but it wouldn’t be our first choice when staying in the Alpharetta area.
