Basic accommodations, but quite clean. Area around the motel was a bit run down/questionable. Having grown up in Atlanta, I knew what to expect. But, for visitors, this area may leave people with the incorrect impression of the region. TLDR: it’s clean and comfortable. Lock your car.

Perfect in a pinch, or even planned

We decided to extend our road trip by a few days to visit Helen and Atlanta. Needing a decent stop we found the Brick Lodge to be conveniently located and reasonably priced. The reception was friendly and efficient. The room was very comfortable with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Local eateries abound, both chain fast-food and unique restaurants. Parking was easy. No elevator so expect stairs. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and roomy. Pool was clean, warm and refreshing.

I never have a reason to be disappointed. If I need a place to stay up North this is always my choice. I appreciate that Brick Lodge always has the best nightly rates, and the housekeepers always do an awesome job. They have a nice outdoor pool and area & if you need to do any laundry they have machines if one needs.
