It's a nice hotel. The check-in process was brutal for me personally. There was no line, but because of a technical snafu, it took 15 minutes before they took us to our room (without a key ready yet). The elevator was broken when we arrived (fixed the next day), as was the only ice machine (which is by the lobby). The rooms are small but clean. The area is really nice.

It is a beautiful hotel. The room was a little small but very happy with the service we received!

Had a great stay at this beautiful hotel. This was our first time in this hotel and this area of Santa Barbara. The hotel is in great shape and the rooms are perfect for a couple. There are many shops and restaurants withing walking distance. Highly recommend and will stay again.

Boutique hotel after restoration and remodel since the devastating Montecito mud slide. Rooms are clean. Continental breakfast is included. The hotel is within walking distance to nearby restaurants for full breakfast, lunch and dinner. Around the corner, breath taking Butterfly Beach is 15 minutes walk away for beautiful stroll. The cozy rooms however are small with thin walls; guests need to keep their voice low. The historic elevator provides lifts to the second and third floor. Allow yourself ample time to transport your luggage up or down. If after 10 Minutes of calling the elevator has not come, make sure to walk up or down the stairs to find it; the last rider likely forgot to release the latch to hold the door open or the accordion metal inner door open. Suggestion to put a reminder sign for riders was made and may be ignored. Overall the attractiveness and convenience significantly outweigh the little nuisances.

Not a place to relax Right by the freeway Elevator cute not practical

Had to change rooms because shower wasn’t working but other then that great hotel.

Overall was good. Few minor quibbles: the toilets were a bit loud, and being right near elevator on 2nd floor, could hear a lot of guests coming and going as well as the people in room right above us. I understand it's an old hotel, so it is what it is. Also, I didn't realize we were that close to the freeway and train tracks. Internet wifi was pretty slow and spotty too. Our room had 2 bathrooms which were cool, since we're a family of four. However, the showers were stand up style, so might be hard for families w/ little ones. Appreciate the complimentary food in morning; however the pastries were quite dry on both days and we couldn't eat them. Although it would have been nice to know it was valet parking only., the valets were very friendly and helpful. The staff at front desk were nice too. The decor of hotel is nice and has a "cool" factor.

Everything was wonderful! Staff was great! Service was great! Amenities Great!

Bad housekeeping. Room was not not clean at 3:00pm.

Furniture was slightly worn and drawers didn't close well.
