Montecito Inn

Best customer experience, nice hotel with old Hollywood elegance, the rooms were small and classic style the furniture to the bedding were 1st class and the shower was small and had classic style fixtures. The staff was young and unobtrusive and respected our space even in such a quaint boutique hotel straight out of the golden age of Hollywood complete with historic pictures (Charlie Chaplin, etc) book cases and booths and cabanas poolside. We thoroughly enjoyed The Montecito Hotel, its an amazing old girl and she still stands up against all the "Best" we stayed in with their :"Standards:" of quality, etc.

We enjoyed this hotel and liked that we could walk to shops and restaurants. We were taking my niece to Westmont College and arrived late. They quickly checked us in, and although the elevator is in a longtime repair they offered to carry our luggage to the room. Super nice staff.

It was quiet and personal. Wonderful as always.

I will definitely stay here any time I am in the city. Excellent staff, great location, and worth the price.

Love the hotel. Wish it wasn't taking so long to get the restaurant in.

Loved the hotel and the location! Great vicinity to Santa Barbara.

I visit Santa Barbara often but have never stayed at the Montecito Inn before this last week. From now on it will be my "Go to First" hotel, Location is perfect; Staff, Incredible!; Comfort; Value....The Montecito has everything a large Hotel brings but with intimacy and personal attention... If you're undecided, book the Montecito Inn. You will be very pleased you did!

Wonderful. Will be even better with the new restaurant. Suggestion...on several travel sites it still says breakfast and the $10 parking charge.

Great!! Experience, room was amazing! And because we booked with orbitz we got upgraded to a suite. This small hotel is located in the middle of a of small town walking distance to a lot of small shops and local restaurants.

Loved the hotel but want a restaurant to move in. The staff is great.

The location is great - in walking distance to shops and restaurants. However, it's also close to the 101 so can be noisy. In addition, directly across from the hotel is a BIG construction site. Also very noisy. The restaurant in the hotel is closed for another 8 months but there are plenty of other places nearby. The beds were comfy. The water pressure a bit poor in the shower. Despite a few bumps I would stay there again.

The Montecito Inn is stylish and quintessential. It is in a perfect location from where one could explore all of greater Motecito and Santa Barbara. Just walk to any of the fine shops and restaurants in the Lower Village or get on the local raods or the 101 within a minute. The staff are always attentive and friendly. Will look forward to our next stay!

Beautiful and quaint hotel in Montecito. It takes you back to the golden age. Staff was very nice, and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We loved the free coffee and tea. The only downside is that it is close to the freeway, and the passing cars can be a bit noisy.

very nice old hotel. Very clean and the employees very friendly and helpful.

Lovely location and room Not without traffic noise from the freeway and late check in at 4 and out the next day at noon but we would stay there again.

Enjoy our stay would come back....staff were great and friendly ....

The hotel was great. I expected the rooms to be a little nicer based on the pictures, but it was still overall a good experience. The bathrooms are older, and I had trouble keeping my electrical devices plugged into the wall.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was fun to discover the hotel's history (originally built by Charlie Chaplin). A modern hotel yet they kept the charming old-school touches (including the original elevator... the kind you pull the gate across before operating). A couple minutes from East Beach, yet so much to do with walking distance. Will definitely return.

We liked the hotel. We would like to go back. Continental breakfast was minimal in quality, less than I would expected from an otherwise fine hotel. More like a budget motel.

Elevator from hell or the 20s. Small rooms not real luxury staff so so on the hwy free breakfast worth the cost. Valet parkers were nice. More blue hair than you can shake a stick at. If I had it to do over I would stay in Goleta. There's a nice resort there by the ocean. Never again. Charlie Chaplin Manville good but he has been there for a long time
