Very helpful staff helped us check in slightly early and gave us great recommendations on where to visit in the area. I would definitely come back.

The hotel was great! Amazing service! The room was very cozy and modern. Walls are a little thin.. The location was the best part, the pier two blocks away and the night life also within walking distance. Thumbs up all around. Only thing that could be better is a microwave in the room instead of the lobby. Will definitely be staying here again!

Hotel was great but this is close to a bar. At 3am was serenaded by a drink man singing my way. Sinatra and I were both appalled. The hotel staff were great. It is not large by any means but quaint with an outdoor patio and history. The building is listed as a historical landmark.

Location is great for easy walking to a plethora of restaurants, Funk Zone, nightclubs, and the beach. We just spent the holiday weekend here for a bachelorette party with three separate rooms. Hotel was tolerant of allowing some of the girls to arrive early and decorate one of the rooms before check-in. We were put in what was deemed the private area by one of the hotel managers, which put us on the bottom floor to the right of the main entrance and parking entrance on Haley street. We weren't very pleased that the rooms have floor to ceiling windows that had little noise reduction from the outside. Further, upon entering room 110, ants were discovered in the bathroom. Hotel staff was immediately notified and housekeeping came to use disinfecting wipes where the ants were prevalent. However, the morning we left - so 36 hours later - ants were crawling out of the air conditioner vent, down the wall, and onto the top of the dresser. At checkout that same morning, I reported the ants to the front desk and showed the pictures I had taken. While he said he'd get housekeeping on it right away, he lacked, what I felt, was intense disgust over the situation. I would think a hotel guest sharing those pictures of a room in your hotel would elicit some sort of emotion, especially after this was already an issue two days earlier. Also, in room 109 the television did not work and the air conditioning was incredibly cold. The only solution was to turn the air off, which then made it feel really muggy in the room. Lastly, the housekeeping staff beings knocking on doors as early as 8 am to clean your room. We weren't ready that early each day, so they lurked in the hallway near our rooms waiting until we were gone. They also loudly spoke to each other in the halls, Making sleeping in impossible. I would not recommend any of rooms 109-115 on that bottom floor. That seems to be housekeeping headquarters and they're incredibly loud very early in the day.

We stayed downtown. The hotel was very clean, decent breakfast included along with free wifi. It is very well located for shopping, the beach and restaurants. Very pleasant. Would stay again.

If you want to be next to downtown and all the cool resteraunts and all the hot spots, this is the perfect place to be.

Great location, wide selection for breakfast, computer and printing access, small but clean room.

While the room was perfectly nice it was super loud. You can easily hear street traffic and people as well as the guests in the rooms around you. Location was fantastic, so close to many restaurants, shopping, and bars as well as a short walk to the beach.

Central location, close to downtown and to beach. Continental breakfast included!

Great location right in the center of town, walking distance to lots of restaurants, shopping, etc. Clean rooms, nice staff. But the walls are paper thin, and you can hear every normal conversation going on in the next rooms. Very hard to sleep at night. Not good for a hotel that was over $300/night, even in Santa Barbara.

Easy to walk to all the Santa Barbara restaurants and shops on State Street

Hotel was quaint, comfortable, and clean. Ample parking. Location was the best. Once we parked, we could walk to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is located just a block away from State Street, it's basically like staying on State Street, but without worrying about the noise that this busy street brings during the nights.

Booked this hotel a couple of days prior to arriving in SB and was pleasantly surprised. Room was very clean and just a block south of State St., close to all the action in downtown. Would definitely stay here again

Hotel is a little on the old side but it is close to and within walking distance from the main drag and the beaches and town pier.

Nice staff only, the room was too small, Noisy and having drunk people in the hallway in all hours of night was not great. Did not get any sleep prior to flying early in the morning.

very nice room, with helpful staff, nice breakfast for a quick get away,

we stayed just one night as part of a touring holiday. we were well received at reception and found the room and facilities were accurately described on the web. a better advice on finding the hotel would have helped - especially when arriving in the evening of the adjacent street market, when roads were closed off.

Very good location, nice clean room.

Great location, just steps from State street. Quiet, Comfortable Clean room. Small and Simple with nice flat screen TV, desk was perfect for lap top, Free wireless internet, and VERY COMFORTABLE King size bed. The Staff were excellent, Called us a cab from the mission, held our bags after check out, pleasant and courteous. Nice Breakfast buffett each day There is no swimming pool, no jacuzzi tubs. If you want excellent service, peace and quiet where you can relax, this is a great place. Is was an excellent stay and we would highly reccomend this hotel.
