Location is almost perfect and the property is in great shape.

Cute hotel, very centralized area of State Street!

Very handy location! Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff.

Read reviews about the smaller rooms than advertised on the photos and asked if there was a bigger room available. Was told for $50 they could put me in a slightly larger room (still queen bed) and I agreed. Was later charged $50/ night rather than the $50 total I was told. Tried to clarify with hotel but they weren’t bothered. Front desk staff unhelpful and cold. Wouldn’t stay again as there are much nicer options with friendlier and more helpful staff elsewhere.

This room was the size of a hamster cage. No place to put luggage, closet filled with furniture. Do not stay here! Major claustrophobia.

Walkable distance to restaurants. We stayed on state street. Some noise at night but overall great place. Valet only

Nice and quiet hotel close to everything. Windows do NOT open. Cheap continental breakfast.

It was great! We liked the size of the lobby and we knew the room would be quaint. Our mistake was we didn't get a king size bed. Everyone was helpful & friendly. We were facing the main street & really have very little noise as there is another plate of glass between the actual window & the room. Easy to walk to shops & restaurants & a couple of movie theaters. I would change the Brand on towels, robes, soaps, tee shirts, etc to something of an outline of the building of the hotel that is on line.

You're paying for the location, a cool old building, and a small room where the air conditioner doesn't y.

A centrally and affordable hotel in the middle of State St.

The rooms are beautiful. Great location. The pastries in the morning were delicious. Unfortunately, the front desk staff were not friendly and appeared annoyed when I asked them for a city map.

Great Location! Easy access to restaurants and night life. Close to the beach.

Pleasant but far from great. Comfortable bed. The breakfast was poor. Hotel is in a very good location. Public areas are pretty.

This hotel came recommended to us and it is a hidden jewel in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. Walking distance to shopping, dining, car rentals and Amtrak. Would highly recommend especially if arriving by train and renting a car. We would definitely stay again on our next excursion to the Central Coast by rails.

Friendly staff, nice continental breakfast, convenient location to downtown.

Room is small but clean, bed is comfortable. Air conditioning has little noise but not affect sleeping. Coffee machine is good. Walking distance to county courthouse , big fig tree , train station, easy drive to beach and stearns wharf.

Thank you for the feedback. Due to our historic nature each of our hotel rooms is unique, with no two alike per floor. We recommend that the next time you stay with us you try one of our King rooms for more space. We do hope you will return and give us another chance.
