Love the unique decor

Don't expect to get the room you reserved, even if you booked that room several months out, if you're booking through a "third party" like Orbitz. I was told that the "third party" I booked through, said that I asked for a Double, instead of a King. I knew that wasn't correct, so when I returned to the front desk, with proof from my "third party" that I had indeed reserved a King, I was met with an eye roll and was told there was nothing they could do about it... still blaming the "third party". They are called TRAVEL AGENTS and if you can't honor what the travel agents are selling, on your behalf, then don't advertise your rooms with them. The hotel did nothing to make things right. Didn't even offer a free drink or appetizer. I don't believe that Orbtiz messed up our reservation. This wasn't our first time at this hotel, but it will be our last.

We had a good stay Thanksgiving night, except the room type we reserved wasn't available and no one mentioned this to us at check-in, they waited to see if we would notice and complain about it. A better way to handle it would be to just be straightforward and mention it when we check in, apologize for mishandling the logistics, and then proactively offer some kind of comp. When we called down to the front desk to let them know we were expecting a King Stadium View (what we booked), and ask if our room type was available to move to, we were first told that the room types were the same price and had been swapped out (a King Stadium View was replaced with a 2 Queen City View) and there was nothing that could be done because they were fully booked that night. We had to then ask for some kind of compensation (breakfast vouchers and they comped our valet). We would have rather just had our room type, as we had other breakfast plans. A 5 star experience would be just offering the compensation at check in and acknowledging the mistake. Other times we've stayed at the Graduate have also been only so-so, like they told us that check in was only available after 8pm (this was the night before a Husker game) because the opposing team was staying at the hotel-- sorry, no compensation for this either, nothing they can do about it. It's a good hotel in a FANTASTIC location but the operational piece is not something they excel at.

I would have given them a better rating but I had issue with the room cleanliness. But the staff was great and so was the rest of the hotel.

Enjoy stay

This is my go-to hotel when going to a concert in Lincoln. Can't beat the location! My favorite part is the decorations. Every time I stay here, I am still giddy looking at all the cute decorations everywhere. The wallpaper, curtains, artwork. LOVE IT! Yes it's expensive, especially during an event, but I refuse to stay anywhere else :)

Used handicap parking, however there were stairs inside the door. Invested $600 in 3 rooms yet no forgiveness when there was NO WATER. Very disappointed customer service!!

We like the retro vibe of this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are unique and comfortable. They changed the restaurant/bar from the last time we were there. It use to be the same vibe/decor of the hotel but now it's pretty plain/simple. Not sure if it's owned by the hotel or a separate business. The staff there work their butts off, taking care of everyone, and were wonderful... but the food was just "ok". It was nice to be able to go down to the bar for a drink, though, and visit/relax.

The staff is always very helpful!
