We had an amazing stay for our five year anniversary. When setting up our stay we worked with Haley Jones to get an amazing corner room that overlooked the northeast end of downtown. My husband was impressed you could see the pitchers mound at TD Ameritrade Park. The hotel itself was very clean and well designed. The pool had amazing views and we were even given access to the Hospitality room that was well stocked. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
I have stayed at this Marriott a dozen or so times and have had nothing but great experiences. The hotel is brand new, clean, modern and beautiful. The rooms are large and well appointed with the newest tech and furniture as well as super comfy beds. By far the best part, though, is the staff. They are absolutely as polite, helpful and kind as any high end hotel I have ever stayed in the world. I have to call out Sam Ashford, and Keith Lindsey as two who stand out in excellence. I wish all Marriotts were this great!
We stayed one night, on the way to a "destination wedding". Our room on the 6th floor was large and nicely appointed. The staff was attentive, prompt and courteous, and proximity to the Capitol District is great. But our room faced the very close-by interstate, and even though Omaha isn't an all-night bustling metropolis, there are cross-country trucks and of course the obligatory LOUD motorcyclists who want to blast through after midnight. The hotel needs to invest in some better sound deadening. Next time we would request a room facing away from the highway. Also, they charge $10 for wi-fi access. Who doesn't have free wi-fi? Valet parking is $23 (in Omaha?), and "self-parking" is $17 and it's 3 blocks away. All in all, the Courtyard Marriott down the street is probably a better value, if you're going to have to put up with interstate noise all night anyway.
Came down from Mpls for my sons baseball tournament, which just so happened to fall on my birthday. My expectations, far exceeded! From the minute I walked through the door to check out everything was tops! Joe in Vallet made checking in seem less swiftly loading my bags and having them delivered to my room. 10 steps through the front door and I met my new best friend! Mason was a beam of light. Wishing me happy birthday and accommodating my every request(and I had many)! I spent the first two nights checking out the city. Once again see Mason if you need ideas on where to go and what to see, every recommendation was spot on! This Marriott certainly has a bit of magic! Hats of to a fantastic team 🧢
I worked three private events for my company during the CWS. Each time I was lucky to have Alyssa working the bar for me. Not only did she keep everyone hydrated, she was on top of any need I had or concern I voiced. When I mentioned that I didn't love one of the presentations on my first evening, she spoke with the chef to make sure that it looked differently the following night. If you can, request Alyssa for your next private event!!
Highly recommend the Omaha Marriott Downtown Capitol District!! It is a beautiful establishment that feels very grand when you enter. It is very well maintained with modern, stylish and comfortable rooms, dining area, bar, and alcove seating areas! We heard about J. Gilbert's Steak House and headed over to check them out. We entered through the main doors of the Marriott and were warmly greeted by Sam and Mason. We spoke with Sam to learn about their steak house and jazz bar. Sam invited us in and welcomed us to look around. He was very friendly and helpful, after sitting for a bit enjoying a glass of wine and the atmosphere in one of the comfy alcoves we decided we would like to stay the night. Sam was super generous, upgraded us to a better room and added a late checkout for us, as well as provided us with toothbrushes/toothpaste and some VOSS waters. He and Mason chatted with us and we were made to feel very at home and valued. The bar manager, Will, was also very knowledgeable and helpful! The room was very nice and the brunch the next morning was delightful! Tad and AJ were wonderful to us and made sure we were well taken care of! Upon checkout, Mason visited with us about our stay and took it upon himself to run out front to provide our valet ticket to the valet so we wouldn't have to stand out and wait. Over all, we were super impressed and walked away feeling so valued and will make plans for a Planned Staycation where we can try the pool, too, in the near future! :-)
What an amazing experience. Eiron and Shae took complete care of us. Loved every minute and would definitely come back. Food is amazing, accommodations immaculate and comfortable. Such a relaxing vacation!! Highly recommended!!!!
We were created by Mason who in the first two minutes I knew it would be completely different because he gave us an overview of where to go and what to do on the property he was cheerful, took time, and made us feel very welcome.
We got a room here on the 4th of July just to use the pool. It's on the smaller side but very nicely done with comfortable padded loungers and a good amount of umbrellas to go around. There are also tables, couches and chairs around the area. There is a bar, and while the b-tender was very nice and friendly, I have to say the frozen drinks, while well priced at $8, were not particularly good. We tried all three: the frozen rose, the cherry sangria and the mango margarita and they all looked and tasted the same- bland and boring. Come on Marriott you can do better. I wanted to give a shout out to Mason at the front desk. He was so friendly and helpful. We spent very little time in the room (didn't spend the night) but it was clean and modern with a mini fridge and large flat screen tv. Would definitely come back for some pool time!
I stayed at this hotel during the College World Series, it was fantastic !! The superstar of hotel is Maria who works the front desk. Maria is so professional and very sweet, I appreciate her kindness and professionalism ! First impression... very important
