Hotel is in great location, new and clean. Our king suite was perfect for the two of us and our 2 grandchildren. But, the restaurant and bar is terrible. Poor service, and after waiting almost 2 hours for our food, we left. After contacting the manager he was able to get our grandchildren some chicken nuggets and fries as it was almost 8 PM and they were starving. My husband and I never got what we ordered! Also, the strobe light smoke detector directly over the bed is annoying, and there are no towel racks for wet towels in the bathroom. Really wanted to like this hotel, but very disappointed.
A decent night's sleep is the minimum expectation for a hotel. Flashing green and red lights on the smoke alarm directly over the bed kept us awake the first night. I had to use a sleep mask the second night. I had alerted the management of this problem on my last stay in August 2019, as did at least two other guests at that time, so this is a common complaint. When I told the receptionistabout it this second time, she said she had told maintenance who said it's only a problem in some rooms because of the location of the smoke alarm. Otherwise, the hotel is very nice, if expensive, the bed is comfortable, attractive decor, very clean throughout. My husband found the t.v. location strange as the bed faces a large window and the t.v. is attached to the wall on one side. Also, the plugs and USB chargers built into the headboard did not work. This was a problem in both the rooms we stayed in and I forgot to tell reception (will call them). Cambria, fix the flashing light problem! You installed great light-blocking shades, so you know creating a good sleep environment is important.
This modern downtown new hotel is very trendy and perfect location surrounded by bars, restaurants and close to old market. I love the blue tooth mirror in the bathroom and the push button lighted mirror.
This ultra modern hotel opened in May 2019 is in an area that is being redeveloped and there was building work going on all around it but this did not detract from our stay. Everything in the reception area is bright modern and sparkly clean. We should point out however that parking has to be paid for as the lot is shared with other companies and also breakfast is individually priced - not something that we have come cross in American hotels in this price range. We asked for recommendations as to where to eat and chose The Old Mattress Factory which is five minute walk away and has a great atmosphere and good service. Brits will love it!
Alright, I never do reviews, but our experience here was phenomenal. It first started when we checked in. Webster city guy (he’s from Iowa like us) greeted us with humor and kindness. After checking in we went to the bar for our promotional half off drink. This gal was a hoot! We were laughing just having a genuine good time. My friend and I enjoyed our drinks and left for the Backstreet Boys concert. We took the shuttle with Matt. (Only name I remember) anywho, I had a purse that the event center didn’t allow.. Matt gave us his direct line (for when we wanted to go back) and I called it. This dude came back around and took my purse to the hotel for safe keeping! Like A++ dude! Thank you! Anywho, we came back and had an awesome conversation with the overnight clerk guy, which gave us a little history of the hotel and talked about the good of his colleagues. We did get a little loud, sorry btw. The security guy was legit nice about it tho. OHHHHH!!!!! And the best part, they have Bluetooth Mirrors! LIKE WHAT?! great experience by far.
This hotel was perfect for our family of four! We stayed in a tower suite and it was worth it! Easy drive to the Zoo which was our main destination! Many wonderful bars and restaurants across the street and near by! Will stay again!
This place still carried the aroma of a brand new room when we walked in. It was very clean, temperature was perfect and room was spacious. We used the king suite with a seperate bedroom. The teenager girls were on the pull out couch with ample room. TV's in both room were nice. The bomb is the Bluetooth mirror that filled the all three rooms with quality sound! Staff from check in to check out were friendly and knowledgeable. We will stay here again and you should too.
Very pleased with our experience at the Cambria. The staff was amazing. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I highly recommend the Cambria. We stay in the down town area about 2 or 3 times a year and this has become our new favorite place.
Superb staff, lovely hotel, great location. Highly recommended for business or pleasure. The suite is well worth the price. We will return again. The only criticism is that they really need to add towel racks in the bathroom & more in room coffee.
Ours was a quick, one-night pass--through; we wish we could have stayed longer. Large rooms, good tech hookups, extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Very accommodating staff. Unfortunately, we're going back via a different route, but it would almost be worth it to change the route to stay at the Cambria. As someone who travels a lot, I would say it is better than virtually any hotel in its price range, and better even than many of the more expensive properties.
