I booked one night here so I wouldn’t have to drive home after a concert in KC. I didn’t think Lenexa had any bad areas but I was mistaken. I chose this hotel because it is right off the interstate, in a somewhat familiar area, and it was cheap ($50). The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, no complaints there. Our room was filthy, and badly in need of updating, pics attached. I should have gone right back to the desk and asked to change rooms or for a refund but at that point we were in a hurry so we let it go. Specifics: I took my shoes off immediately and one trip to the bathroom and back had blackened my feet. There were stains on the bed surround, the light fixture, and the walls that were glaring so it is reasonable to expect they should have been wiped by housekeeping. I removed the bedspread as I would anyway but the sheets showed various hairs all over, as if they hadn’t been changed after the last guest. The cheap furniture throughout the room ALL had lining coming off and in need of replacement. The AC vent in the bathroom was just hanging from a corner. The shower surround has visible mold and rot around the entire fixture. The plaster is coming off the wall in several places and plaster is just piled on the floor, also unswept by housekeeping. The rubber kickguard around the bottom of the walls is literally attached with pushpins. Strangely, the sink looks new and expensive. I’m also fairly certain I got bed bugs. Save your money and look elsewhere.

When I arrived, there were policeman walking around the motel parking area. This was a positive and the only thing making me feel safer. Had it not been for the late hour, I would have stayed somewhere else. This place needs to be shutt down and condemned.

This motel should be shut down. Orbitz should take it off their website. Upon arrival, I was greeted by policeman walking around the grounds. THANK GOD they were there......it was the only thing that made me feel relatively safe. Prostitutes and druggies seem to be the clientele of this place. Had I not been so tired, I would have immediately canceled my reservation and gone elsewhere. When entering my room, I was greeted by a "water flood" in the bathroom. I immediately went back to the office, where the desk lady didn't even offer to give me another room. I paid for the internet ($2.99/day)....which didn't work. My inquiry was met with THREE motel employees who said "Oh yeah. The internet is terrible". I asked why guests were not informed as to the lack of internet reliability; nothing! Just stuttering and lack of any sort of coherent explanation. I checked out early the next morning and went to the Candlewood Inn.......WARNING....this MOTEL 6 is disgusting.

Sneakingly will try to nickle and dime you. These ladies charge "hospitality service" then when ask what it was for they didnt know. If the answer she gave was that it is for the cleaning staff I would feel much better, although I left a tip. I stayed at a Motel 6 in Dallas the day before and it was perfect.
