This place is half hotel and half motel. When I entered the room, there was a stench of mold in the air. The moment I stepped on the carpet, it was soaking wet from the old Jacuzzi they have in the room. After going back to the lobby and advising them that my floor was flooded, He tried to make excuses. They told me sometimes sometimes people splash when they get out of the Jacuzzi. The entire bedroom floor was soaking wet and no one knew about it, not even the cleaners? Property is rundown. And they couldn’t give me another room either.
Never stay there again
Check in was ok. But the room was very small, bed was itchy and un omfortabl as well as bathroom. The front desk refused to hear me out, refused to cancel the reservation after the first night. We had to pay $220 extra to change the room. The new room's bathroom was better but too small. The air conditioner was newer but very loud. It got too hot when turned the air-conditioning off. Couldn't sleep well at all. I asked one day to clean the room but they didn't cause the frot desk claimed I said do not enter the room!!
Room is pretty outdated and doesn’t seem clean. Towels are almost ash gray color. No breakfast as mentioned in the ad.
Very comfortable and clean room, nice front office staff and nice housekeeping folks. Great modern shower stall and nice bathroom. The stairway inside the main area could've been vacuumed more. I know a lot of hotels are not doing breakfast anymore due to Covid, but it would be nice to put out some coffee like others are doing. Some Wyndham hotels are putting out small pre-packaged donuts or muffins in the morning. This Days Inn did not.
Comfortable beds, quiet, easy parking. TV remote didn’t work, and there was no breakfast, despite the statement on the Orbitz website.
Staying at the Days Inn in Parsippany, NJ was a lot like staying in a room from the Saw franchise - you're kind of just waiting for something to kill you. When you first walk into the lobby, a smell of what can only be described as "bleach covering up a mold infestation" punches you in the nose. Upon check-in, one of my party wandered down one of the hallways of rooms to discover a section of the ceiling that had collapsed and exposed the insulation underneath. In what I assume was related, there was also a giant puddle of water that had clearly been sitting beneath the collapse for quite sometime, given the appearance and the smell. This was probably much appreciated by the rats that we heard fornicating above our heads whilst trying to fall asleep that night, unable to out of fear of bringing bedbugs or hepatitis home the next morning. Thank goodness we were only there for one night. Oh, and not for nothing, but part of our hotel stay was a free breakfast which was not offered - not that we would have eaten anything prepared in that place anyway - but still. Hopefully in the near future this will be torn down and replaced with something more desirable (laser tag, perhaps?), but in the meantime, if you want to play a game... this is your spot.
The place was very creepy and I felt unsafe.
My stay would have been satisfactory if I paid $20 less. When I checked in at 5pm, there were still 2 large trash bags full of beer cans inside the rear entrance which should have been disposed of hours earlier. There was no coffee in the lobby or breakfast to go when I checked out, I should have stayed at the Red Roof Inn and not paid for a nonexistent breakfast.
They advised breakfast, but didn't provide it. The bed felt like a hammock.
the phone in the room was not working. They were supposed to have someone look at it but it was never repaired. Bathroom floor was dirty. Carpet in the halls frayed. We requested extra hangars, luggage rack and another blanket. Never received anything.
Comfortable beds, good shower, big refrigerator.
This is a no-frills hotel with good services within its price range and area. I am satisfied with my stay.
Kind of spread out.route 44 is poorly designed if you have to change directions
