This building was older, but had new flooring, kitchen & 2 bathrooms. 2 nice TVs and spacious living room. Walls and doors were rusty/weathered. But was nice. Our unit was not as pictured.

I would not recommend this hotel. We stayed during the off season and the rooms were extremely dirty-- bugs, dirty contact lenses on the ground, wrappers next to the bed when we checked in, etc. Also, the staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. The hotel claims to have a beautiful running route through the resort. The route is just the main road of the resort and the security staff for the resort flies down the road even though the speed limit is 19 mph. There are no sidewalks to run or walk on-- it is an accident waiting to happen.

1st time there and absolutely loved the resort - could not think of 1 thing to criticize or improve upon - great staff, amenities and food! Very clean resort and beautiful

This is our second stay at South Seas and hopefully won't be our last. Easy check in, room was ready when we arrived. Everything is at the resort so you really don't have to leave. But good restaurants close by. The trolley takes you to the entrance of the resort and you can walk from there to several good restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful boats that were decorated for Christmas! Beautiful resort, very relaxing!

We had an absolute blast. The only complaint was that we didn't stay longer. Clean friendly comfortable. The food was good. Breathtaking sunsets and happy people.

Great resort. Everyone is very friendly! The whole island is the resort. It's decently big. Only downfall is wish there was more to do within the resort.

Arrived to hotel expecting a beach view and got a forest. Rooms are outdated and were very dirty. Location is nice but not convenient if you have a big family. To get anywhere you either have to drive or take a trolley. Was no impressed.

This is my go to resort for rest and relaxation. It is a great value in early December, can't afford it in high season! I have been going for many years and though it is not as elegant as it was 20 years ago, I still love it and it delivers everything I need!

I had a wonderful time in this beautiful hotel situated on Captiva / Sanibel. The only recommendation I would make is to rent the go cart deals! The grounds are beautiful and you will want to see everything!

Good place, good deal for money, staff was great. Would recomend it

Bubble Room and Doc Ford were great! Room could have been nicer-didn't look like picture online. Staff were very nice and accommodating Locals were hospitable Overall-great trip!

Beautiful surroundings with lots of things to do. Nice rooms. Food and most extras are fairly pricey,

Went for the weekend. Room and service at the front were fantastic. Hide a beds need to be reconsidered as comfortable if you are traveling with multiple family members. Watch out for the grumpy old man tending towels at the pool. People with young families sometimes need a little help in getting everyone to the pool in the AM. Saving chairs for 15 minutes not a capital crime. it's our policy is not customer serivce.

We have stayed in many resorts and this was comparable to most. Location is very pretty and the ability to use bay or gulf side was great when wind picked up. Its a bit of a hike from mainland (about 18 miles out on slow roads, so count on 45 minutes from mainland to South Seas). Water was generally calm and even with wind wasn't too much to handle. However, water isn't very blue or pristine like you get in Caribbean. Amenities are very good - putting green, kids slide pool, tennis courts, jetski and paddle board rental. Its a quiet place, so do not expect lots of action, but good for beach relaxation. The scout-about and other planned activities are a nice touch. Rooms are clean and generally appointed well. Not luxurious but nice. Service was very good across the board with just about everyone who worked there doing a good job and putting in effort. Onsite restaurants were good, decent variety, but as you would expect, rather expensive. Not a whole lot nearby without a 20-50 minute drive. A good place for 3-4 day stay.

We spent a week at South Seas and left feeling refreshed and renewed. Everything was perfect! The room was modern and comfortable. All the staff at the Breakfast Buffet were exceptional! Marlon was such a caring, professional and attentive server - always meeting us with a friendly smile. The amenities were pristine always neat and clean. The beach staff was also ready to serve. Beach loungers and chairs always available with towels, cushions and umbrellas provided free of charge. Entertainment during the sunset hours at the beach and a bar available all day. We are already planning our next visit.

Very nice resort, rooms could use updating, comfortable, food and additional amenities are pricey.

Most part all was just fine. Resort food way overpriced and below the standard the rest of the resort displayed.

Great staff, beautiful resort. We stayed in september on a 'stay 4 nights, pay 3' deal, which made it affordable. We love Doc Ford's at the gate!

It was a romantic trip anniversary trip Beautiful beach we took a cruise to see the sunset we saw manatees and dolphins . We also did Parasailing and jet ski it was fun ❤️

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Pool was amazing great for kids.

We do apologize that we did not exceed your expectations. We offer many different unit types and accommodations and it does not sound like this was the experience you were looking for. Our aim of this note is to let you know we take these concerns to heart and truly apologize.
