great hotel little outdated for price they charge but price wouldn't be so bad if orbitz didn't have hidden charges that you find out about when you check out don't book threw orbitz book threw pink shell resort

Two bedroom "villa" (room) with kitchen worked great for us. Our 4 yr old twins loved the pools. One note: the one bridge access onto the island always has a long backup on it.

First time staying at the Pink Shell and it was the best experience. Right on the beach and close to all the shops and restaurants! Very nice resort and staff was always very friendly and helpful! We loved that the paddle boards, kayaks, chairs and umbrellas were all complementary with stay!

We left zero degree weather in Minnesota and arrived in Florida to 80 degree weather. It was sunny and beautiful every day. Sitting on the beach and gazing at the ocean was meditative. A great winter getaway!

I came down to FLA to escape the New England cold and I had a great time at this hotel. I loved the water sports, especially the sailing.

Last minute trip, was hesitant to pay so much but seemed to get a decent deal late in game. In Sanibel which others said was dated, it was ok. Would love pillow comfort to match bed comfort. Kitchenette is fine, nice to have. Top floor so quieter, but still can hear trucks on early deliveries and surprised (altho up) to hear maid or workers with music on outside our room at 9 am. And cleaning staff often came around 4 when we were returning from beach. Breakfast was really great, wish it started at 7. Crowded by 10 but the handled it well, wait staff there was great. I liked the smaller quieter pool.

Great views, great breakfast, lots of local attractions. The northern tip location is ideal. Lots of wildlife, we watched dolphins every morning!

based upon rave reviews, my wife & I booked a 3 day trip. our room was in building 2, #4211, which appeared to be an older building with the rooms converted into 1 bedroom studios. condition was a little tired and outdated. the mattress was an older, softer pillow top which should be changed soon. I would give this room only 3 stars out of 5, at most. the main building, however, seems a lot more luxurious. also, the staff didn't seem empowered to make good decisions. for example... one day, there were no coffee packets provided for the coffee maker in our room. that happens, no problem. so we went to the restaurant explaining the situation and asking to get a cup of coffee. Nope! they charged us $3. even though breakfast and coffee is free (and very good I will say) they wouldn't give you a cup of coffee to go. so I went to the front desk, just to explain the situation, and see what they might do. nothing! that's our policy! What's the thinking around that? finally, service at the pool bar, bongo's, was at best average. I will say the grounds of this resort are beautiful though. would I book another stay here? probably not. there are other beach front places where one can get similar accommodations and amenities.

There was a lot of false advertising regarding this hotel. I was under the impression that Bongo's and the baby fool were functioning but both were under construction. Bongo's was in a tent. Also, the staff did not explain how to do anything such as where to get towels, how to tent a beach chair, how to order a drink at the pool or beach, etc. Though most staff was friendly, there was one man in the beach we asked for chairs and he straight up ignored us. There was also a hostess at breakfast who was extremely rude. The food at Bongo's is kind of crappy. Make sure you ask about happy hour because it is not what they say in the website... either the prices or the time. Overall good value for the price but was disappointed due to the things I THOUGHT were going to be there as well as the time we spent trying to figure things out!

Excellent location, all staff from the moment we arrived to the time we left were awesome. Overall hotel very nice. Was perfect winter get a way for my teenage daughter and myself. Would recommend and return!

Winter getaway was shortened by events to three days, but the three days at Pink Shell made it worth the trip. Culture of service by staff, from youngest/newest to management was ALWAYS there. Well kept facilities, great clean room, view was superb, food was fantastic, beach was white, wide, and well cared for. We'll return.

The hotel staff were wonderful' they gave us the wrong room by we accepted it (smaller) then The jacuzzi didn't work and jacks the restaurant was closed

Being my first time, it was more than I expected. The employees that I encountered were awesome. They truly go out of their way to make you feel welcomed! The room was very nice and clean. The only complaint I had was that I had a friend visiting me to have dinner and the hotel had guest parking. I asked if they needed a ticket because they had parked already in the guest parking and the employee told me that due to a wedding there is no guest parking to have them park 3 blocks away and park in a $3 an hour train station. I know this was upper managements fault but I think that isn't an excuse when after they left they had still about 30 parking spaces open in the guest parking. Other than that the resort is awesome!

We had a wonderful Time it was beautuful. !!! But I'm Very dissapointed in Orbitz !! They wete of no help in times of problems we had with the flight! We lost our rt Tickets and had to Pay full price only the next day!!after we already paid fir the pkg deal. !! Terrible !! But. The hotel it's staff And everyone in Florida was wonderful !! Again orbitz was totally Unfair

Amazing stay, staff were helpful, some lights didn't work in our room but the view was amazing you really can't beat location.

Very nice room with gulf view. Ours was updated. Don't know about others. 2 pools. One loud for kids. Other quiet most of the time for adults. Decent breakfast but hey it's free. Great spa & water ammentities. Staff was awesome. Everyone was very helpful. My gf & I left very happy. Would definitely go back again.

Second time we have stayed at the Pink Shell Beautiful spot on the beach at the northern tip of Fort Myers Beach Quiet yet close to everything Love that you have space in your accommodation to spread out, cook or not, do laundry, still have everyday maid service- umbrellas, chairs, towels, kayaks, included in your stay Many beachfront hotels you are charged for everything to do with the pool and beach- great spot for couples, families and even singles

Great place to stay with children! Other then the Wifi being poor in our room, I couldn't complain and would recommend the Pink Shell to anyone!

This trip was everything I was hoping for and more. The rooms were fantastic, the staff was great and the food was wonderful. I loved everything about The Pink Shell and definitely plan on staying there again.

Great place to stay! Staff was wonderful, very friendly. Beautiful resort and great location. Breakfast was delicious and was a wide variety of food. Beach is beautiful and there is lots to do. Will definitely be going back!

Thank you for your recent stay at our resort. I am sorry to hear that you were not impressed with your overall stay. In regards to morning coffee, while I agree exceptions can be made, we are unable to provide coffee as a to-go service at Jack's. As you know from dining there, breakfast is a busy operation. If we were to offer coffee to-go for all our guests, it would greatly slow down breakfast service. This is why we offer coffee service in the lobby gift shop. With that said, I do apologize that you left our resort with the feelings of disappointment. We enjoy providing great service and a memorable stay, and so we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back. Kindest regards, Maredith Rizzo Public Relations Manager

To know a guest of our resort had a disappointing experience is so disheartening to us. We are dedicated to holding a reputation of a place known for great value and exceptional service. We somehow missed the mark with you on more than one occasion. I can assure you that the areas you mentioned have been addressed so that we may maintain a service level that can be expected when staying at the Pink Shell. We hope that you will consider returning to our resort on your next visit to Fort Myers Beach. Kindest regards, Maredith Rizzo Public Relations Manager
