Fantastic Front Desk Staff. Top Notch Customer Service. Anyone needing a place to stay in the Miramar area should definitely check out this hotel. I was overwhelmed with the kindness of the Front Desk Staff. Specifically, Arline, she was like an angel sent to me, she calmed me down. And boy, did I need it! While traveling to Miami, I called just to let my hotel know I would be late but would be there. They informed me the hotel could not honor any reservation due to water damage that happened that day. This was right after the hurricane IRMA. I was in a panic to say the least. I was coming in from out of town and had no where else to go. No one had vacancies. I needed a place to stay for 4 weeks. This was not a vacation. The Residence Inn Front Desk Staff specifically Arline, Joezet and Selena are top notch. Yes, I called daily. They were great, I got in on the third day. The Staff Manager Travis is really doing something right because this is an awesome group of folks. They really care and do take the extra step in customer service. Thank you!
I evacuated to this Residence Inn for Hurricane Irma and lived here for 9 days with my dog. I cannot say enough good about this hotel and the staff. All of the other guests were evacuees as well. Most chose this hotel because of allowing any size dog ($100 fee). During the most stressful time, the hotel staff remained professional and did their best to accommodate guests. On the day the hurricane was to hit, they were not going to offer breakfast, so they had an afternoon “breakfast” the day before. This was good and thoughtful planning. The staff lived at the hotel during the hurricane, to address any problems. Power was out for about 8 hours (no generator) and Direct-TV was out about 2 days. There was no parking lot flooding. There were quite a few tree limbs down. The location was great with a dog as there are lots of grassy areas. It is along a canal with miles of grass. My girl was freaked the first few days as she was not accustomed to hearing doors slam or close and other dogs. Then she calmed down and loved staying at the hotel. She also loved the endless grassy areas. I had a 2nd floor studio room. Had I known I would be there for 9 nights, I probably would have gotten a 1 bedroom, in spite of it being only myself and my dog. The only downside was the noise from the hallway, which could be heard through the door. If I have to evacuate from the Florida Keys again for a hurricane, this will be my go-to extended stay hotel.
Very clean hotel! Very nicely done in the rooms and a great floor plan in the room. The bed was a little firm and the pull out sleeper sofa was very uncomfortable for my daughters taste. All in all was a great stay and they have continental breakfast.
I stayed at the Residence Inn in Miramar for business and I have to say it was fantastic. The room was spacious, clean, and in great condition. The associates were friendly and attentive. Lastly, I loved the evening reception.
The hotel is a lot like your neighbourhood apartment complex - staff members are very friendly and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. The pool looked fine for the kids and I saw a lot of families having a good time. As a business traveller, I got a 1 bedroom with a small kitchen because that is what the hotel provided. The hotel offers evening food/social hour with alcohol Monday-Wednesday. The Hotel is not particularly close to the beach or tourist areas. The Hotel has a pet acceptance policy. I wish they would alter their breakfast on a daily basis. The staff was nice and friendly. Always polite and helpful, you really couldn't ask for much more. That was the best part bit about the place.
We chose this hotel to be close to our friends that live in the neighbourhood. Our room was nice and spacious with a living room and kitchen. Not much to put one's finger on except the building complex seemed a bit old and outdated. There is not much going on in the area and at first we were struggling to find a convenience store for supplies till we found a Wallgreens about 5 min. walk away. There is also a Starbucks close by. The hotel was fairly priced and worked fine for our two night stay.
It's hard to tell if this is a busy hotel that is just finishing the busy tourist season and needs to catch up on its maintenance and upkeep or if they are doing just enough to get by. It could have gone either way since I arrived on a busy Sunday and it was obvious that a lot of families with children were checking out. I imagine if it was like that all winter, they place would take a beating by the time spring arrived. You will have to check with someone who stayed there in May to see if they caught back up. Otherwise the Hotel was OK. Not a beach resort not a real dive. The pool looked fine for the kids and even on a weekend night they place didn't look too rowdy. As a business traveler I took a 1 bedroom with a small kitchen because it makes it easier to eat healthy and the hotel provided that. You are located in a mixed use neighborhood with some low level shopping, office parks, single family homes and apartments. So not a bad part of town. Not particularly close to the beach or tourist areas. The staff seemed nice and friendly. Always polite and helpful, you really couldn't ask for much more. The best part of the place.
I want to start by congratulating new front desk employee Lota! Wow I am so amaze by her service and professionalism. My experience was amazing! My family and I live 5 miles to the hotel and we love to get away on a nice weekend get away. This hotel is perfect! We had such a great time and so much to do. We had a BBQ by the pool and my kids enjoyed playing basket ball. We went to the GYM and so many equipment it felt like home. Also to mentioned the breakfast is one of the best it felt like we were at Dennys! So much great food! The best part is the service from the staff is very welcoming. It started with Selena welcoming us with a smile and professionalism. Thru out the day Lota was such a great host always providing us with anything we need it. My kids love her. She was always going above and beyond. Residence inn should be proud to have her as part of the team. Over all thank you everyone for leaving great memories and always meeting expectations. We will definitely come back!!!!
I made a reservation for a very early morning (1:00 a.m.) check-in to visit a close relative in a nearby hospital. When I arrived, I discovered that the hotel had "sold-out" its rooms, in spite of my reservation. I was offered a room at a hotel over 30 minutes away in a city with which I was unfamiliar. I ended up sleeping in the hospital lobby.
Disappointed in the lack of cleanliness in this facility. As a Marriott fan, I was very upset in the general smell and feeling of this establishment. I understand it is a family place, but the cleaning, rooming staff must not have the right equipment. The carpeting smells and the general feel is that they don't clean regularly.
