Not a resort but a nice, comfort beach hotel. Close to restaurants and every convenience you might need in a summer vacation. Great place and staff!

Great stay!!! Very clean!! I would stay again. Hotel is in a great central location.

Wonderful location, enjoyed the Water Taxi and Hugh Taylor State Park. Next visit I would not rent a car, the parking ramp was kind of a pain and by the time you pay for the ramp fee plus rental car itself it adds up to more than I would have paid for taxi service. Also the pool area was under construction so I would not return until that was reopened.

We stayed at this hotel because it is next door to the Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale, and did not want to pay the Ritz's prices. We had family staying at the Ritz. The room and bed was comfortable. It had a kitchenette. It looked newly decorated and clean. The only real downside was the automobile approach. It was convoluted and serpentine. In order to check in, 2 parking garage tickets were needed to gain your way through two gates. then you had to find the lobby which was several levels up because the first few floors were occupied by a shopping arcade. When you finally made it up to registration, we could not drop off our bags because there was no parking to do so, and 3 cars were behind us, so we didn't want to block them. Repeat this process, minus the check-in every time we needed to leave the hotel to shop, travel to restaurants, etc. About 25 turns each way. Otherwise we liked the very kind and accommodating staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and public areas. The pool was nicely done, also several stories up, with a nice view above the traffic. The manager was very helpful with suggestions for the areas eateries and things to do. Obviously, there is nothing the hotel can do about the work of some architect long gone who conceived this plan of entry. I would return here, because of the warm hospitality and cleanliness. It was not a typical Marriott Hotel, it was a time share resort.

only downside was the entrance to hotel and access to beach was through parking lot and shopping center

Clean hotel, close to beach, dining and shopping.the hotel only has a pool side rest. For dinning

Counter staff lacks customer satisfaction skills regarding the customer experience during check in. There was no sense of urgency on there behalf. Personal experience was that during booking, I requested slightly earlier check in due to having a red eye flight. I arrived at 6:30 am. I didn't expect a room that early but closer to check out time frame. Being the first to arrive at the hotel, I didn't get my room until noon. Not only was I exhausted , I wasted most of my day waiting in the lobby waiting for my room hoping to get called to my room so that I might get a little rest before the end of the day. Terrible experience !

Very beautiful hotel! Great location with lots to do! Staff was very friendly and helpful, they made sure our needs were met. The rooms were gorgeous and spacious which made our stay even better! We would definitely stay here again and bring our children! My husband and I were pleasantly surprised!

We used facilities before check in. The hotel is clean and well staffed. The elevator was a challenge at times. Overall a great hotel close to strip

We came to Fort Lauderdale for a busy weekend and we understood that from the start but the staff at the front desk seemed overwhelmed and rude because of it. I wanted to ask for a manager after the disrespect I received but when I read the name tag of the gentleman helping me he he was the "office supervisor". The hotel was very nice and clean but for the money we were spending (over 300 a night plus 50$ for parking because my finance's truck was too high to fit in the garage) I expected a little more hospitality. I think we should've been compensated or accommodated for parking not have being warned of the circumstances of parking.

Very fun for spring break. There was so much to do.

Marriott had their act really well put together. Staff was VERY pleasant! facilities where clean, up to date and very nice. The location doesn't get any better, it is located right where all the restaurants and action is. There is also a lot of convenience stores like CVS. Cant say enough...really was a great place!!! Definitely GO!

My stay at Beachplace was great. I have no complaints. The staff was very friendly, I was able to check in earlier and I don't know why people were complaining about the elevators, I had no issues. There was plenty to do here with several local bars and restaurants close by. Would highly recommend it and will stay there again.

Comfortable. Pleasant stay. Great location. Good get away

Wouldn't have gone anywhere else best stay ever. Staff was great really helpful!

Room was renovated so it was new. Location is great. Parking $14 a day is ridiculous and so is the lengthy wait for the elevators! The staff was not friendly or helpful at all.

The hotel is in a great location right on the beach. It is situated above Beach Place, which has some fun restaurants/ bars and shops. The street the hotel is located on is also filled with good restaurants and bars. The only problem I had with the hotel was the lack of working elevators.

The hotel/time share was a very nice place to stay. It was located right on the beach, with a room balcony that overlooked the ocean. Rooms were kept clean. Kitchenette was nice to have. Receptionists were very friendly & eager to help you. It was also located right on the strip where there were shops & lots of restaurants. We rented a car & didn't even have to use it. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hard to find the lobby, reception on the 4th floor thru the garage, no ocean view room as espected, cleaning only after the second day when they realized that we were not time sharing customers. No help to carry our luggage. Late check out out of any question.

great location for the beach and nite life
