The smell in the hallway it's not Good

Got a king bed with pull out double sofa. It was about 300 years old. Lop sided head 6 inches down from feet. DIRTY WITH STAINS. Had to go down and ask for bedding. They didn't give a pillow. Place was nice as heck but dont expect your kid or tagalong to be able to sleep on the pull out. On top of the mentioned, every movement was outrageouslt noisy.
The photos make the room seem like somewhat of a decent place to stay. It was only convenient to be next to our place of interest. Staff was rude, especially the breakfast/kitchen staff (female with glasses). The hotel front desk staff never acknowledge you when you walk in the door. The room was dirty. The first room floor was super damp and the toilet wasn’t flushing. They suggested we wait til morning to have it fixed. 😳 The hotel then changed rooms for us. Both rooms had cards the room had been cleaned. The tubs were dirty and the fixtures were rusted. The telephone hasn’t seen a cleaning wipe in years. The best thing about the hotel was free parking? and plush pillows.
It took 15 minutes a person to check in... It was horrible - took us 2 hours in the middle of the night to get in - we deserve a refund - we stood in line when we should have been sleeping. It was horrible.
Clean, friendly staff, great breakfast, easy check in/out - close to airport and port. Great choice !
Shuttle buses to few, too small, not marked for individual Holiday Inn Express addresses and after 1-1/2 wait we used Lyft. They did give us free munchies. Water leak in room. No one seemed too concerned, just told us to use towels and housekeeping would be in later. Obviously water leak was not something new Staff was otherwise good and room was clean. Shuttle was a problem for many.
The room was OK except the AC.. it was broken when we entered the room, so we called a repair man but that also did not fix it. We had to leave at midnight and they didn't even give us a refund.
All of the staff including the Manager Kurt went above and beyond all expectations as the hotel was totally full due to people being evacuated from the path of Hurrican Ian. Everyone working at the hotel was so helpful to everyone.

room smelled musty, moldy I got to the breakfast room at 9:35a - sorry 5 minutes too late even though food was still out late night visitors in the hall- loud 4th floor washing machine broken
