Disappointed

Unfortunately we were disappointed after reading fairly good reviews. Lobby and pool area were nice but room smelled awful and had stains and hair all over the comforter. Bathroom was dirty and beds uncomfortable. We should have asked for a different room but had just drove 12 hours and had already unloaded everything. Breakfast was bread, cereal and waffle maker…that’s it. Convenient location to the Destin airport but overpriced for what it was.

Leak in ceiling over bed room 214

The first night we booked on hotels.com was horrible ! We had room that had patch work on ceiling right over one bed but thought nothing about it. Our friends had that bed and middle of the night right in middle of bed a leak happened leaving them sleeping in a wet puddle with white stuff from ceiling. We needed to stay another night and so they gave us different room for second room and supposedly gave us a discount but the room cost almost exact same as first night! Felt they could have accommodated better for the poor first night but they didn’t ! They were quick about second room luckily.

The sheets and towels had stains on them, but by the time we got into the room(we had some things to take care of before going to the room which took longer than 15 minutes) we weren't qble to change rooms. They did reach out to us prior to arrival, due to road construction, to give us good directions to get there.

Breakfast was nice. Room was spacious. Floors needed cleaning, but the housekeeping came in and cleaned it right away. Nice stay. Will stay again. Good area… entrance & exit is a little rough, but not the hotels fault. Wendy’s is in the same parking lot. Food not too far. Walmart is right across the interstate. No problems. 👍

The hotel is extremely outdated and in a poor shape. Water stains on the walls and ceiling, the sofa in my room was very old, dirty and disgusting. Same about the bed comforter. Towels and bed sheets are old as well and definitely not white anymore. The breakfast is very minimal - just cereal, toasts and waffles. It looks like the management is trying to keep the place clean though. Probably the worst hotel I ever stayed in.

Great stay for the price.

We stayed for a week. The overall appearance and room comfort was great. Wendy was amazing at working with us to het cards that worked on the doors. She even came to the room from the front desk to help and explained that the scanner needed to be fixed on the door. We never had a problem getting in after that. On our final day there. The neighbor was smoking marijuana and the smell permeated my room. I shoved a towel under the door between our rooms to block the smell. The only real complaint was breakfast. I went down an hour before breakfast tome was over and there was cereal but no milk, waffles but no syrup, no fruit left, stale bread with no toaster, and the juice machine was out. There was nobody to refill anything and someone had left their fast food drink on the counter by the food. I just gabe up on waiting and went to mcdonalds to get breakfast. The staff was lwys friendly when i needed something for my room though, and nothing was ever.dirty or broken. Overall, i would stay again, but expect.breakfast from an outside source.

Terribly extra firm bed!

The staff is very kind and efficient. The lobby and room was clean. However, the bed is terrible. I dont like really and i mean really firm beds. So sleeping didnt go so well.

Room was spacious and a/c worked beautifully in the FL heat & humidity. Room had a microwave and large “mini” fridge. Water pressure was great but shower head needs replacing. Beds seemed smaller than queen and mattresses need replacing.
