Chicago Marriott Oak Brook

The beds were dirty, crumbs and hair were found. Toilet had a hair on the seat. Not appealing to stay, especially after I did call and said it would be cleaned, we came back to the same situation. They offered to move us to another room, but it had a queen bed and we had 4 people, it was also at 10pm!! Very disappointing with no rectification.

I usually love to stay at Marriott hotels. This time, however, the room we reserved for three people only had one king size bed with no roll-aways available as the hotel was fully booked. My daughter slept on the floor. They also had no record of my payment from Orbitz, so I spent the two days wondering if I was going to be double billed. I'm still wondering. The staff tried to help with additional blankets and pillows. They tried their best to reassure me about the billing, but never did connect with Orbitz to verify. For the second night, they found an open room after 9 pm, so my daughter could sleep on a bed. I've never had this kind of problem using Orbitz or staying at a Marriott. I've stayed at this hotel previously and had enjoyed the experience. I'm not sure what happened, but it was a pretty disappointing stay.

Great trip. Great view from the room. Staff were very nice.

Had a good time. It was a quiet hotel, especially given that there were a couple of big parties going. Liked the location. It would have been nicer if the location were more pedestrian comfortable. The staff were all quite cheerful and helpful.

Please be aware that if you plan to stay at a hotel in the some of the suburbs you can expect to spend at least $60 one way for a cab and some of the limo/van companies only go to hotels in downtown Chicago. After I found this out the hard way, I called the hotel and asked if they had a shuttle. They said no but a nice receptionist offered an alternative. She called American taxi and ordered a cab for a flat rate of $26. I understand that they have an app so that you can place an order that way too. You must pre-order then they send a text message to your phone to confirm the order. When they are ready to pick you up they send another message to your text with the cab# and driver's telephone #. At the airport I did wait for over an 1.5 h after the confirmation. I did place an order upon departure and they were more timely.

The front desk clerk was rude when we arrived 7pm. The noise in the room from the elevators was obnoxious. Clerk said they were sold out so no other rooms were available. We had stayed there several times before, and it was ok, but we will stay somewhere else the next time we visit Chicago.

Staff was incredibly helpful....would love free coffee service in morn, conference rooms well maintained

I was in town for a wedding. I have nothing to complain about. FYI I booked this hotel as a package deal and saved quite a bit.

The hotel is beautiful and the location as well as on site service are amazing! A great pool and hot tub, both plenty warm despite the freezing snowstorm outside, and the fitness center is practically a full gym - its huge! It has a Starbucks and a nice bar area. The view from the room is breathtaking. That's the hotel "goods." Now the "bads"... bathroom is horribly small and the double beds were a little shy of "big enough for comfort. I think the worst part of the experience was the staff. They were not the friendliest or most accomodating... nor the most knowledgeable, for that matter. Front desk didn't give us the correct information about pool times and when we went down we were greeted by a very grumpy "mr. bean" type gentleman who informed us of the pool hours with his eyes rolled toward the back of his head. He did, however, begrudgingly offer allowance for a quick glance at the pool area even though there were still customers swimming. I also had to ask twice for extra coffee creamer. Both times we stayed the staff has not been overly welcoming so I can only assume that this is standard. Cleanliness was okay but still not great - same as last time. Overall, the experience could use some vast improvement but it wasn't appalling, so do what you will with it.

Stayed a night after my cousin's wedding, nothing remarkable to say, very poorly maintained room at least the one I got.

close to shopping centre good location, very convenience, nice bed

overall, it was fine except that the heat/airconditioner was extremely loud.

Hotel was fine. Loud noises in halls every night as they cater to weddings a lot.

The hotel was very clean. There were some family reunions going on while I was there so the elevators were constantly busy. Some of the employees at the front desk were not too friendly, but the housekeeping service was great. I would definately stay at this hotel again.

Convenient to the Oakbrook Mall and the New Year's party at our friend's house. Good clean room, comfortable beds, pretty quiet for being across from the elevators. The bathroom was very small. The room service only delivers up to 11pm, despite what the room guide implies. Had to find someone to check us in and they did not know that the Starbucks in the lobby was shutdown on New Year's day (we found out by reading the note posted on their door). Considering they didn't have an in hotel New Year's celebration and the hotel wasn't full, the room was pricey.

I had a friend coming in from Canada. Decided that this would be the perfect location to stay over the weekend. Main reason why is due to the fact the Marriott is located right across the street from Oak Brook Mall so she can go shopping the whole weekend. But after staying at the Marriott. My views of the hotel is positively overwhelming and everything exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay at the Marriott again!

Great stay. Enjoyed the whole experience. Wish I could have stayed a little longer

Everything was excellent. The car rental was great. The hotel was perfect. With all of this taken care of we were able to enjoy the things we wanted to do. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Staff did agreat job and everything was as expected. really liked the late check out time!

THe staff was friendly and helpful Good food at the bar Nice room with good amenities Good for for the convention lunches and breakfast, just a step nicer than the rest I would definitely stay here again
