We visited this hotel on our honeymoon. It was exceptional. The staff was absolutely incredible. We had a beach front view and it totally lived up to the hype. The hotel needs updating but we spent most of our time at the beach anyway. Great place overall.

Great hotel with excellent staff, clean facilities, little dated, but excellent experience. Did I say staff is great. Cons: Pricey resturants, but should expect that when on vacation. Go to market a little done the road and get food and snacks and you will be good to go. Check your bill for incidentals though. 4.5 stars

great beach and shopping, food awesome. no stress.

The Rotz is the best hotel in Cancun .. Outstanding service and food .. The hotel is staff is exceptional and the food is great .

Very little in room eminities. Have to pay a big price for the little refrigerator goodies I went across the street to get a pint of liquor it was just as cheap is the one shot bottles in the in room honor bar . Extremely over priced if I were filthy rich I still would complain. Never again .

I am never disappointed staying at the Ritz Carlton. Always the best.

It's our family "go-to place." If arrangements to other places are not working out, we know that this is a place where we may go, and have a good time. While our trips take place during busy holidays, the hotel is very full, and sometimes it's difficult to get attention of the service staff. Otherwise, it's a great place.

The WC broke down and flooded the room. They were doing some maintenance work and there was a lot of hammering going on. But the worst thing that happened was that they were painting the balconies. Without notice and when I came out of the shower there was a man stanfing right out of my room!!!!! Not the relaxing perfect experience expected from a AAA five diamond award hotel

I had an incredible experience at this hotel. The room and view were beautiful, exactly as promised and pictured on their site. The service was impeccable. They pay attention to detail which my wife and i love. From cleaning the room twice a day, to being ready with towels and umbrellas by the pool, opening doors, quick and delicious room service, everything was top notch. The short walk to the pool and the beach on those hot days is really important and appreciated. Short cab ride away from malls and attractions. Beautiful heated pool where we spent a lot of our time because the water in the beach was rough. We were there for a week and our only bad experience was at the outdoor restaurant Casitas, where they appeared to be overbooked and understaffed so we had to wait longer than we would have liked for service. We were so spoiled at every other turn, that this stood out as a bad moment. Be forewarned, this place is anything but cheap. I knew what i was getting into going in, with the name Ritz Carlton you expect to pay a premium, and we certainly did. Absolutely everything was overpriced so if you are on a tight budget this place is not for you. That being said, if you are looking to be pampered and consider overpaying for pool side food and room service not such a big deal as the trade off for an amazing vacation, then make sure you choose the Ritz because we had an unforgettable time, perhaps the most relaxing vacation i have ever been on.

Everyone is very attentive. Food is excellent. A little pricey. We enjoyed ourselves - drinks by the pool and on the beach.

Great stay and helpful staff Enjoyed World Cup on big screen tv in The lobby area Good ocean view

We love traveling and have stayed at many nice hotels, but the Ritz Carlton Cancun BLEW ME AWAY. It truly does not get any better. We were traveling with a baby (he actually turned 1 during our stay there, they gave him a party!) The staff anticipated EVERY possible baby need. Literally. In our room were a bottle warmer and sterilizer, toys, and beautiful crib. For example, one night my husband and I were having dinner in a casita on the beach (a beautiful experience - do it!) and the baby was having trouble falling asleep... suddenly three people appeared with toys and lounge chair with a little "nest" of beach towels for him to play and relax in. Baby stuff aside - I was blown away by the 5-star service and the beauty of the entire hotel. Definitely plan on returning!

Hotel needs some major upgrading. It's very very old school. There was construction early at 8 AM in the morning. Not ideal when you're on a vacation. Staff and customer service is excellent. Location is great.

We never wanted to leave! Every morning, we slept in, went to the gym, then enjoyed the breakfast buffet - so many options and all of them delicious! All day long, we laid by the pool or in a cabana on the beach as the staff feted us with drinks and food - they are the nicest ever! Then we would get cleaned up, enjoy dinner - definitely try Fantino at least once - and end the evening at Caribe Bar and Grill for some cocktails. And then wake up to do it all over again - it was one of the best vacations ever!

Wonderful stay - staff was courteous, friendly and helpful - would highly recommend and plan to return.

Very good and the concierge was supberb Not sure this hotel is the best value ritz with such good local competition but we throughly enjoyed the resort

Though you could comfortably bring the kids... Why? Amazing service, great food, literally everything is convenient. Not cheap, but hey, it is the Ritz Carlton.

Our stay at the Ritz was fantastic. The staff, in particular, was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and hardworking. It was our anniversary and they went above and beyond for us to make it an even more incredible trip for us. Thank you for an unforgetable vacation!

This is what all hotel chains strive for. Consistency. If you pay for 5 star you expect 5 star and the Ritz Carlton delivered. From the moment that we arrived until we left, the service was top level and always at hand. The facilities were perfectly maintained. The staff was constantly available without being intrusive. While the hotel is large you never felt crowded or had to wait. it was obvious that a great deal of time and effort goes into maintaining the standards that 5 star designation requires. Definitely will be back.
