Casa Turquesa

We made reservations at another hotel in Cancun that upon our arrival claimed we had no reservation with them. That pathetic establishment left us over Spring Break with nowhere to go, something they have apparently done over and over. After 3 hours on the phone with Orbitz they lined us up with the Casa Turquesa. It rescued our vacation. The people at Casa Turquesa are THE BEST! So friendly, kind, and concerned about us enjoying ourselves. They bent over backwards to make us comfortable and take care of any question or need. We had shuttles and tours scheduled to pick us up at the other establishment. The folks at Turquesa took our documents and called to make all the changes and arrangements for us. There are not words enough to express our thanks to such amazing people. We felt so comfortable and relaxed. It is a small establishment of about 30 rooms so they gave a much more personalized treatment than could be found at the mega resorts in the Hotel Zone. The rooms are beautiful and the view was breathtaking. We loved the location because it was so quiet and laid back. Much of the Hotel Zone is nuts with all the Spring Breakers at this time. However the Casa Turquesa is a quiet refuge from the madness where we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our air conditioning did not work except for the last night we were there. However we didn't complain because we could open the balcony door and enjoy the nightly breezes off the Caribbean and it was very pleasant.

This hotel is great because it does not feel like you are in Cancun. It was my third time there and I particularly dislike the impersonal and enormous hotels there. Most of them feel so fake. Casa Turquesa has a different style and I like it. Food was also good.

Staff, location, and food were all great! The hotel was quiet. My cousin and I enjoyed the art pieces. Also, our bathroom was huge and made it so easy to get ready at the same time.

Rooms are spacious with good view, but a bit dated and not very clean No free wifi provided Staff are ok

Hotel was alright just not what I expected or was looking for... Staff was great and very helpful

Didn't know what to expect based on making reservation through the web. Excellent choice. Small boutique hotel right on the beach. Great staff at in house breakfast area next to pool and restaurant. If a beautiful beach is a must this will do. Walk onto a white sandy clean beach. Security person always on view. Order drinks or food while at beach. Spectacular beach ocean view from hotel balcony in mornings and sunsets. Very comfortable bed. Art works everywhere in the hotel. Highly recommend it for a relaxing stay.

Great staff and incredible location. Missey was amazing and always happy to see us and to help in every way. Ernesto ran the show and was always there to serve meals and answer questions. He made sure the staff did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The food at their restaurant was first class. No need to go anywhere else when you can eat outside right next to the ocean. Great beach, great water, small intimate hotel that was so much nicer than the large ones along the beach. We will be back many more times

casa turquesa is a lovely, low-key, chill hotel amongst large ones on the hotel strip. great location, no complaints. great staff.

The place was kind of hidden, it feels like you are in your own house at the beachfront, really quiet, I went to a wedding in a huge resort and it was the perfect spot to rest from all the crowd, the beach was really really nice, the room was huge with my own bathtub outside, for sure not a party place and not the kind of place if you are looking to meet people, but one of the few that you can bring company to your room without any trouble.

Taxi driver pulled off onto a side street to discover this hidden gem. Hotel is first class for sure. Situated on a quiet beach with spectacular views.

Wishing to avoid the ostentatious, high-rise meg-hotels, we found this beachside gem of a boutique hotel. The hotel is elegant, peaceful and well-located, with spacious rooms and a feeling of quiet roominess throughout the building in spite of the relatively small number of accommodations. The marble floors in the suites is a plus -- not merely beautiful but exceptionally cool on the feet as well! The poolside restaurant serves a lovely lunch - delicious and fresh ceviche among other fine dishes. What really makes the hotel special is the attractive and impressive art (especially sculpture) that adorns every wall and corner if the building. The receptionist Dayana was extremely helpful and accommodating. If we had any small dissatisfaction, it was that the concierge recommended a restaurant for dinner which she said was a 5-minute walk southward along Blvd. Kukulkan, which turned out to be a more than 20-minute walk away (walking fast). It would be helpful to be provided with somewhat more accurate information. Nevertheless, other information provided, including the proximity of the indoor mall next door and the 15-minute walk to La Isla shopping center, was accurate and useful. Perfect for couples and professionals with a taste for art and elegance, and wishing to enjoy the beach without the over-commercialized atmosphere of the big hotels and the party craziness of the club strip.

I just got back from Casa Turquesa with my girlfriend; it was the perfect spot. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The location was great if you are looking for a quiet escape; I wouldn't recommend if you are going with friends as the bar restaurants were not crowded. We had to go down to the 'party' area to see other people.

The hotel was clean, the staff were very nice, and it is located right in the middle of the hotel zone, walking distance to two major plazas. No free wifi in the lobby or pool area was a disappointment, additionally, the pool closed at 8pm...too early in my opinion. The beach was nice to look at but the water was too rough to really get in and enjoy it. We drove down to the Riviera Maya/Playa del Carmen everyday of our trip because that's where the majority of the things we wanted to see and do were located. If we could do it again, we would stay in Playa del Carmen.

Wonderful hotel. If you are looking for a huge resort experience, this is not it. However, if you like something that's more secluded and unique, this is the spot. The rooms are lovely (jacuzzi tub on terrace was a huge perk#. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant one morning. Good food and very reasonable prices. Location is convenient as it was close to several of our favorite restaurants on the hotel strip and also next door to a popular shopping area. Only complaint is the price for wifi #20 USD/day). Overall, great spot for couples. We will be visiting again soon.

Overall experience is excellent. Casa Turquesa is all suite museum/gallery hotel with all rooms facing the ocean. All floors are decorated with sculptures and paintings. Four antiques grand pianos (not tuned). The atmosphere is relaxed and calm. Private beach including umbrellas, chairs, and chaise-lounges. If you like quite and elegant vacation, surround yourself with beauty and tranquillity of Casa Turquesa and ENJOY!!! If you enjoy all inclusive resorts and loud crowds, look somewhere else. This one is quite and classy. All staff is relaxed and very respectful. They remember your name and treat everyone as a very special guest. Two restaurants: one by the pool facing the ocean (breakfast and lunch), second is in front of main entrance (dinner). Food is very good; lots of options to choose from plus 24/7 room service. Staff to express gratitude to and worth mentioning: waiters; Oscar, Demetrio (breakfast), Elliot (lunch, dinner), front desk: Missy, Oswaldo. There are lots of other food choices around. "Lorenzillo's" seafood restaurant is very good. Rich menu with 20+ lobster choices. Rent a car or take taxi (about 12$, 10 minutes one way) to CocoBongo night club. Live, Love, Be, Satisfied.

EXELLENT SERVICE,ROOMS VERY CONFORTABLE AND CLEAN,RESTAURANT ATTENDANTS VERY FREINDLY AND HELPFULL. WE ARE GOING BACK

The jacuzzi was not what i expect. But the location was nice.

Quaint, serene, personable and very focused on beuty

This boutique hotel would be perfect (decorated with museum-quality artwork, large rooms and marble bathrooms, right on a beautiful beach, restaurant by the pool, etc.) IF they paid attention to their guests. Banging of doors and loud voices by the personnel starting at 6 am every day of my stay was not pleasant, the AC was not working proprerly, and the front desk could not organize a day-trip to the Mayan ruins (which I ended up organizing myself!) Too bad, as it could be a jewel.
