It’s a good hotel in downtown Cancun. Near simple restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Very easy to get to other parta of the city. Rooms are comfortable and clean, there’s a small pool, internet works fine. Only problem was the travel agent that works there, she was trying hard to sell tours and excursions, but it took me a morning to finally book something with her, so confusing everything she mentioned was (and I can understand Spanish). Other than that it was a good stay.
very clean, pool is amazing hotel is close to downtown just a few blocks from parque las palmas, so if you're looking for good street food you're at the write place is just 2 blocks from the hotel, it's la plaza , every night there are food truck behind the hotel,isn't not close to the beach but you can take a taxi and go to playa defines or take the ferry to Isla mujeres, I highly recommended if you going to explore Cancun.
Stayed with my friend for 2 nights, as we were checking out they wanted to charge us 25 US because we left a smudge of makeup on a towel! Absolutely ridiculous and they wanted us to clean it! Would not recommend at all - put your money somewhere else
I booked here for my visit to Cancun - after less than a week I had moved to a different hotel! We booked a room and paid extra for a balcony well the balcony was the 1st floor right above the entrance which was busy from about 6-30 am every day it was also right next to a building site The shower was knackered there was no chairs or a table in the room there were electrical sockets hanging off the wall the hair dryer didn’t work there was no bar even though they advertise one there was no vending machines for any drinks or snacks no kettle or tea or coffee making facilities there was a power cable about a foot in front of the balcony the room was not that clean in fact we watched from the pool when they cleaned our room it took 6 minutes Personally I would not advise anybody to stay here it’s not a hotel more like a hostel
I would like to begin this review saying that I work for Hotel`s company based in Europe. This place is run by young unprofessional people that have not training or skills to do this job . I spent 4 nights in hotel during my Holidays, I had serious problem such as cold water, no water pressure, lift out of service for 4 days, rude receptionist and dirty rooms. I have tried hard so many times to speak with a Supervisor or Hotel Manager, but the staff just avoid my request for the whole staying, Absolutely ridiculous. Some authorities should take action to regulate this system.
On the first day, they gave us a room with dirty and broken shower, broken sink leaking on the floor and cold water in both of them. Second day, after complaining about the room, they fixed the shower but the water was still cold and also the staff looked annoyed and has been rude to us. Also, the housekeeping forgot to leave clean towels. They offer us to move with a free upgrade to another room without checking if the shower was working properly and actually we realized that it wasn't. So we asked one more time to move to another room where the shower was working but the water was still cold. The third day after taking cold showers, we kindly asked to speak with a supervisor and they told us that this person will be available the day after at 9am. So, the fourth day the manager didn't show up and they refused to gave us the email, telephone number and name of the person in charge. Especially, the receptionist LAYSHA has been really rude and she said that by Mexican law they were not allowed to leave this personal informations and she gave us a useless reservation email adress. The Wi-Fi was not working properly during the whole staying and the lift has been out of service for 4 days. Highly not recommended!! DO NOT BOOK IN THIS HOTEL!!
Hotel Kavia is pretty standard. Nice, clean, comfortable - nothing more. The staff in the reception are helpfull and the location is fine. Would recomend it for a short stay, but would look around for a fancyer hotel for a longer stay in Cancun 😊
Walking distance to many restaurants. Large rooms and the whole place is very clean. Helpful staff, two pools. One major problem is that wifi reception inside the rooms is not always good. I told the reception desk a few times, but it never improved in my 8 days there.
Clean hotel in downtown Cancun, was expecting it to be a lot worse due to the reviews but the room itself was good and clean and big for the price. The noise however 24 hours was terrible. They have a pool and music in the lobby area playing all day and night, it kept me and my mother up, this shouldn’t be on all day and night, as the way the rooms are designed in hotel, is like a motel design, therefore it’s very loud and the lighting from hallway comes through rooms, so not good for sleep.
·The hotel is located in front of a club that plays loud music all night long. We couldn’t sleep at all as you could hear the music. We called the reception for help but they didn’t try to find a solution. The morning after we ask for a refund of at least part of the price. They said we used the facility so we weren’t eligible for any refund, not even breakfast or anything. Well, I payed the facility to rest, I couldn’t rest at all so I did not use the facility as it was meant to be. I don’t recommend this place.
