Ambiance Suites Cancun

Recent guest reviews

Ambiance Suites is located on the Main Street of Cancún, Ave Tulum. The hotel is about a 4 minute drive from the Ado Bus station where you can take a bus to/from the airport for 78 pesos. If you walk less than 5 minutes up the street towards Ave Coba you can take the colectivos/buses that take you to the beach for 12 pesos. The ride can be 20-40 minutes depending what beach you’re stopping at. It honestly beats taking a taxi that would charge over 100 pesos since both vehicles would be going through the same traffic. Less than a 10 minute walk you have the supermarket Chedraui on Ave Tulum in one direction and if walk the the opposite way you have Plaza Las Americas. The hotel is clean and the rooms are worth it. I was only there to sleep and shower. There was a complimentary breakfast included in my stay, but it was just toast, oj, and coffee. There are different little restaurants along the street in easy access to the hotel.

small hotel and down town but very nice and clean

Nearby everything to do. Quick stay but really enjoyed it.

I always stay at this hotel when I'm connecting in Cancun. It's very clean, comfortable, centrally located, and the staff are super friendly.

5 min walking to the mall. Casino is on the next door.

very convinient to all beaches and area attractions and

The desk clerks had no idea about our travel package that included free breakfast, but they refused to give us more than coffee and toast. We tried to explain it to them, but they charged us everytime. We stayed for 8 days and on 7 of them the elevator didn't work and we stayed on the 5th floor. The shower water leaked out and several times the shower would stop in the middle of taking a shower. Our toilet overflowed at random times, but the housekeeping team was very willing to help.

The hotel was in a very convenient location to my dentist. If you need to be in a close to downtown hotel, this is a very good and reasonable option. The rooms are extremely clean, the only drawback in the room itself was the lack of a microwave (it's available in some suites, but not all). The rooms are a really nice size as is the private bath. The internet could use some improvement, some days it worked great, others I couldn't get connected at all. My room (210) faced the courtyard and pool area so it was quiet. Yes there is noise from the hallway, because the whole hotel is tile/marble, so you will hear the noise of housekeeping carts or luggage being pulled down the hall, but I've noticed this in any hotel I stay at in the Cancun area. The only noise I heard from another room was the chairs being scooted across the floor in the room above but nothing from the rooms on either side (and they were occupied). There is a small restaurant with a few breakfast/lunch and dinner items at a reasonable price (and they provide room service). Many places to eat close by. I like the two open air dining places across the street and next to the LaQuinta and XOXO (Convenience store). A very nice mall with movie theatre is a 5 minute walk away and the WalMart and Sams is about 6 blocks away (grab a cab for 35 pesos) and go here to fill your in room fridge with water/soda and other food items. DON'T use the coffee/tea/beverages located in the room or you will be charged! You receive two bottled waters for free and these are located in the bathroom. I felt very safe walking and taking the bus everywhere. You need to be smart just like anywhere else, don't walk alone late at night! They do accept American currency everywhere I went, but change will usually be in pesos. Bus is 50 pesos or $1 (with no change). The staff is very friendly and speaks limited English. Very close proximity to the bus stops. Overall a good option that is quieter and less expensive than the Hotel Zone.

Checking in was the worst part. The desk clerk didn't offer any information, didn't explain anything about the hotel, the area, or the amenities offered. When we asked about shuttle service he only posed one (and the most expensive) option. Other than that the stay was excellent. The room is clean and comfortable, all the amenities you would expect in a business suite.

We stayed here for one night after a week at the Riviera Maya. The hotel is kind of difficult to find. There are various restaurants around the vecinity but I didn't try any. Restaurant at the hotel closes early on Sunday so we had to go to the Hotel Zone to get dinner. We didn't eat breakfast because we had to check out early. Hotel is clean and comfortable. It's great to have free WiFi and many TV channels. Pool was small and it doesn't get much sun. Is an okay hotel for one night.

Room cleanliness and very good stuff. I will recomend all my friends.

We stayed one night at this hotel. The hotel is quite new; very clean and modern. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. We arrived around 10pm and the staff directed us to a small open-air restaurant right across the street (next to an Oxxo store). Although we could not speak Spanish and pretty much ordered the foods by pointing at the menu, we had some of the best authentic Mexican foods, with very reasonable price. It made up feel we were in Mexico right away (which is very different from many of the high-end restaurants in the Hotel zone later in the week). We will stay at this hotel again next time we go to Cancun.

Everything was as I expected. Great for the value.

spacious n comfy room. Wifi, gym n a small pool. Not along the hotel or beach zone but walking distance to Plaza las Americas mall. Easy to get to the beach zone by taking bus #27 at about 8 peso. Basic breakfast of coffee, juice n toast but enough. Additional items are payable.
