Good value, very clean and safe! close to market 23 where there is plenty of food options. several supermarkets within 15 min walk. Only a bit of noise can be heard from traffic on the street.
Very clean hotel, short distance to a food market, good Wi-Fi. A nice cheap restaurant right across the street after 6pm.
For the price, is clean, decent property. Bathroom was nice, AC good etc
Nice hotel closer to the bus station & the super market. We really enjoy It!
Basic hotel in the town center. The surroundings are not appealing in any way, just leave and go to the tourist area. The room is really basic, despite claim of 3 1/2 stars, it is really type of Motel 6.(Motel 6 has better bathrooms though).
Nice hotel, the staff there are nice ,but where the hotel is it's little far from somethings you would need to get a taxi if you plan on going places. But overall very nice hotel the staff there are super nice, very clean hotel / rooms.
If only they would make the necessary repairs to keep hotel in good working condition this would be the nicest Hotel for the price. Doors Do Not work properly, Shower Heads and Curtain need replacing, some shower heads did not work at all, Mattresses are way to hard (if you have back issues like I did), linen looks old and dirty, need to do a better job hiding cables and updates to the room, all closet doors were broken. The Night Staff was courteous and always went out their way to fix any problem All you have to do is talk with them, if it wasn't for them I would have gone to a different Hotel the second night there because of all the issues I encounter on my first 3 hrs of stay.
If you want a real Mexico experience in Cancun then this place is for you. Otherwise, stay in the hotel zone to go to "Mexico" without leaving the US. This hotel is close to local shopping and great "hole in the wall" eating places. Walking distance to the ADO bus station and main Tulum Avenue where you can catch a local bus to the beach. Room was clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. The included breakfast is far better than the continental breakfast of cold cereal and bagels you get at other places. Here it's fresh scrambled eggs with peppers or ham, fresh made salsa, and chips with black bean dip. Breakfast was so good and filling, I wasn't hungry for lunch. My only complaint was low water pressure in the shower. (and bring your own washcloth and hair dryer)
Ok, so this hotel is not the Marriott but it's also not trying to be. If you're a traveler like my family and I and you're trying to immerse in the culture and shop and eat the same food the locals eat, then I would suggest you give this place a try. We have stayed at all different kind of hotels and resorts and I'll tell you this hotel it's great for the price. It's cheap compared to others in the same area, it's in a great location (Centro), very close Mercado 23 and Ferry to Isla Mujeres and to pretty much everything and easily accessible to bus and taxis. All you gotta do is step outside the hotel and wave and someone will stop. Well, that's what we did anyway. Aside from the location and as it's the case in every hotel, I'll give you my own personal tips about what we liked and didn't like about the hotel. Although to be honest there wasn't much we didn't like as this place turned out to be great for us. The fact that this is a hotel that accepts dogs, escaped me for some reason. The fact is this hotel is "dog/pet friendly". This is great for pet owners but for me, I happen to be allergic to pet hair so when I found out that my husband had already booked us to this hotel, I was a little worried. I guess the name didn't tip us off since here it's mostly known as Hotel Santa Maria, never really found out why the hotel has two names but I have to say, we ended up staying 7 nights here and didn't need to go see a doctor. Props to the staff for cleanliness!! So here's a li
