The staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and noise above us at times annoying. Had a great room at very back of hotel on first floor. The location was great and had restaurants in close proximity. We would stay here if in the area again.
You could not want a more friendly, helpful staff. The hotel was disappointing .... for it's cleanliness. After getting out of the shower, we walked across the carpet just to get our feet dirty. All the carpeting in the hotel was in need of cleaning. Didn't make us comfortable.
By far, some of the friendliest and most accommodating staff I’ve ever had. Were it not for them, this review would’ve been much lower. My stay is basically summed up by the 2 photos from beside my car the next morning. Stepped in it while putting our luggage in the vehicle. The one was directly beside my back passenger door and the other was at the back of my car on the passenger side. I understand they accept animals however; doing their business in the parking lot next to guest vehicles? And the owners of the dogs not cleaning up after them? Disappointed, to say the least. We were moved rooms due to the location of the room from the elevator. That particular room smelled horrible as soon as we walked in, too. Luckily, we were moved, albeit for an altogether different reason, the 2nd room smelled MUCH better. Not going to get into everything that happened, were it not for the staff, I would but...I’ll give them another chance when we’re back in the area.
I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. There were so many people that went out of their way to make sure our stay was exceptional, but I only remember a couple of names. Lee did a wonderful job making sure our room was spotless. Jason (works at the front desk and helps with breakfast) was so incredibly friendlly and helpful. I will definitely return to this hotel.
Place was close to business we were visiting. My room was clean and place was quiet. Breakfast was typical for HIE and was hot which is always good. Prices were reasonable. Have stayed here before and would do so again.
I have stayed at this hotel a number of times for business and am pleased to say it is always reliable. The first time I stayed here I was exhausted and the staff upgraded me to the presidential sweet. It was almost like they could see how tired I was and it was a generous surprise for the week I would be staying there. This last time I stayed the General Manager Angela and co workers were very professional and did everything they could to accommodate me. The staff seemed generally happy to be there. To me this is a rare occurrence as I travel a lot and the staff is what keeps customers coming back.
On the way back to Florida after fleeing the hurricane, I reserved a room at this location and I was encouraged by the common areas when I first went in, but this place turned out to be a dump. At least the room they gave me was. As soon as I opened the door the most unpleasant smell I've ever smelled in a hotel room greeted me. Entering the room revealed large stains all over the carpet and furniture that could've come from the Salvation Army. Check that. It probably wouldn't be worthy of the Salvation Army. The TV remote was in such bad shape it looked like a hungry crocodile had mistaken it for a snack and spit it out. But I was bushed and didn't want to be bothered confronting anyone and hotels were all booked because of the hurricane, so I checked the bathroom which was clean and the bedding which was also clean so I decided to heck with it, I'll put up with it for a night. Then later I discovered there was no cell phone service anywhere in the building. The desk clerk said they were aware of that. "Sorry", she said. Then in the morning after sleeping well, I went in to take a shower and found a strange, creepy bud in the bathtub which I had to remove so I could take a shower. When I checked out, I informed the clerks about all of this and all I got from them was "sorry, the rooms are due to be renovated in a couple of months." An email to corporate was pretty much the same thing, "Sorry". The rep said he was forwarding my concerns to the general manager, but I never heard anything from him either. Next time something like this happens I'll know better and go straight to the front desk and let them know that they're trying to sell garbage and I'm not buying.
From the incredibly friendly staff to the beautiful, quiet room and warm, welcoming, well maintained breakfast area this deserves high praise. We called ahead for our reservation and requested a quiet room. We were definitely accommodated. There is a newspaper waiting along with hot drink selection and warm cookies. We will return. Thank you.
This is just off I-65. Very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and professional. The price is right. Its about half-way between NE Ohio and Panama City Beach. Good breakfast to start the day.
I needed to get somewhere north of Nashville for the night to avoid the exorbitant prices due the the Country Music Festival. This is were I ended up (after a 11+ hour day)! I still had to pay a bit more than the "normal" prices! This looked like a relatively new property. It was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast was OK. It is so hard to find a decent Hotel to spend a night these days!
