I recently had the pleasure of staying at your lodge inside the state park, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the overall experience. First and foremost, the location is undeniably breathtaking. Nestled within the state park, the lodge offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the tranquility of nature. The surrounding views are nothing short of spectacular, and waking up to the sights and sounds of the wilderness was a rejuvenating experience. However, I must admit that arriving late at night was a bit intimidating. The secluded location, coupled with minimal lighting, made the journey a tad spooky. It might be beneficial to enhance the signage or lighting around the entrance for the comfort of late-night arrivals. Once inside, the charm of the lodge quickly overshadowed any initial concerns. The rustic ambiance and cozy interiors provided a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff's hospitality further contributed to a pleasant stay, making me feel welcome and at home. The real highlight, though, was the access to the park's hiking trails. The variety of trails catered to different skill levels, and each one led to awe-inspiring viewpoints. The hikes were not only invigorating but also allowed me to appreciate the natural beauty surrounding the lodge. In conclusion, while the late-night arrival was a bit nerve-wracking, the overall experience at your lodge was memorable and rewarding. The stunning views, coupled with the diverse hiking opportunities, make it
Beautiful deck on the back of property with magnificent view of the river and beautiful dining room. Unfortunately was raining when I was there and they had no area that was covered to enjoy the view or umbrellas for table. The single room was adequate but very small. The bed took up almost entire room.
Incredibly accommodating staff. Spacious and spotlessly clean cabin. Gorgeous surroundings that define relaxation.
Peaceful and quiet.
I didn't know there is no elevator so had to switch from 3rd floor master suite to 1st floor basic room. Dining room closed 4out of 6 days I was there. My sister and I are mobility impaired but would definitely return and would be better prepared.
Beautiful location to the falls.
Beautiful area and friendly staff. Negative was bundle of firewood bought on site that was cut green and wet, so would not burn. No refund given.
Wonderful location. with much natural beauty. Facility is old, not handicap accessible, horrible food, horrible coffee and most insulting was the flag pole flying the STATE and AMERICAN FLAG was without a night time light , yet the flags were not lowered at dusk nor raised at sunrise----very disrespectful to our national banner!!!!!
Its very close to the falls which i like but is a very old building in need of an update and the cleanliness was sub-par especially in the bathroom of the room
The floor was filthy. My feet were black after walking around inside. The bed was very uncomfortable. Staff congregated outside our window, smoking and talking loudly. Lots of potential but didn’t live up to expectations.
Dirty old mildew smell. Nature was beautiful.
Waterfalls are fascinating. Lodge could be updated. Several meals in the dining room were carry out only. We understand about Covid.
The best part is the park and wonderful hiking trails.
It was a wonderful old lodge. The restaurant had a very limited menu as it was off-season.
