Renaissance Boulder FlatIron Hotel

A bit far from Boulder, up the crowded route 36, but not too bad. Boulder is a beautiful, college town, although it has gotten too large, with too much traffic. Try driving up Boulder Canyon to the Falls and to Nederland. Comfortable hotel with good size room and nice view of the front range outside the window. Close to a Walmart and several restaurants. Overall a good hotel.

"Bed could have been more comfortable...including the pillows which were too big... asked two things at the desk that were not done...one to bring another bathrobe as there was only one in the room..another when we put in a wake up call, I checked later on to ensure it was in, due to the early nature of same...it was not...it was then put in.

The only complaint we have is the comfort of the bed and pilllows, not very comfortable, low quality for a Renaissance.

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. The room was luxuriously large with two queen beds, a sitting area and sofa. I sadly did not get a chance to check out the pool and amenities other than the restaurant (the $16 breakfast buffet offered a good variety of items as well as made-to-order options) The staff was friendly and helpful to a person; including on a few separate occasions when staff went out of their way to ensure my experience was as nice as possible.

I made a last minute reservation for a family event to stay at the same hotel as my daughter and her family. I had always had good experiences at Marriott properties, so even though it cost more than I usually pay, I thought it would be nice. The staff was very kind at check in. My room was cold and did not look updated. The bed was clean but the mattress hard. The alarm clock was the wrong time (one hour early) but thankfully I set my alarm on my phone so I wasn't late for an event in the morning. When I took my shower, I noticed the tiles were covered with soap scan and the grout was dark brown in several places. In the morning I came to find out that I had the complimentary breakfast and internet access but she and her family of four did not have either. Of course four of our party of five was covered by my complimentary card for breakfast but then my son in law was charged an excessive price for his meal. They also did not have free WiFi which I have assumed was included and in my experience, has always been even in economy hotels. Overall, I felt that for a more expensive hotel catering to business and tourist clientele, not having the same services and meals for both rooms even though we booked through Orbitz seemed nickel and dime quality. Then to have the room be disappointing and frankly unprepared and unclean causes me to say I will not recommend this hotel and will not stay there again.

The staff very nice, we had a small issue that came up due to weather, they handle asap very nice staff.

Everything was well done! Great lobby, even a civilized smoking section near the bar outside. Rooms are very well designed! I will stay here again soon.

Very nice common area. Nice room. Friendly staff.

Excellent hotel! Will definitely stay again. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast buffet was wonderful!

We stopped here after spends over 10 hours driving in our car. After we got a room, I went downstairs to the bar for a drink. After sitting at a table for 15 minutes, the bartender finally came over and asked if I would like to see the menu. After another 15-20 minutes when a space opened at the bar, and when I moved to the bar and had a seat, the bartender finally realized he haven't even brought me a menu. By this time my family had come down to go to the restaurant. Again, we sat at the restaurant, waiting another 20-30 minutes before a waiter even spoke to us and finally brought us our waters. After we were finally able to order, the food was mediocre at best, and not worth the hassle of ordering. We were treated like we didn't deserve to be guests at this establishment. I've had better service AND food at a goat meat stand on the side of a dirt road in Mauritania..... The suite was ok, everything seemed in order. But we could tell it wasn't properly cleaned, I even found nail clippings on the floor with just a passing glance. And the elevators didn't even work! Both of the hotels elevators had gone out of service. We had to carry everything to and from the 6th floor. Needless to say I was very happy to check out the next morning.

This hotel went beyond my expectations. From the Front Desk Staff to the housekeeping staff, they were incredible! Everyone was so helpful and so nice. They shuttled us to the mall and picked us up when we called them even after the hours they usually provide this service. They had a well equipped fitness center. The breakfast buffet is great! Parking was very easy. Great location to the mall, movie theater and places to eat. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff is excellent and the location is ideal if you can't get a room at a nice hotel in Boulder. We stay here often and always enjoy our stay.

Affordable and close to Boulder and Denver. Restaurant was delicious for breakfast. Bottomless mimosas also available. Bar in the evening was great as well. There is also a mini mart store inside for snacks after hours.

The hotel was clean, the staff were nice and polite, the restaurant was good.

Wonderful hotel! Quiet, comfortable, entertaining prairie dog village antics! The staff were as pleasant and helpful as we have experienced at any hotel. We enjoyed a very romantic weekend.

Everything was perfect, accept the bed. Too Hard. Probably could have had them do make it right, but we were having too much fun. The hotel is awesome and in a great location. Walking distance to the Flatirons Mall. Tons of shopping and restaurants. Great lounge, great bartenders, beautiful views of the Flatirons. Will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was great, Staff was wonderful on check in. The room was very large and very comfortable. Loved it. Broomfield is off the beaten path and not super close to Denver or Boulder so I probably would not go back. But the hotel was very nice!

Great customer service- brought requested items (extra pillows and a comb) quickly. LOVE that they Aveda products in the room (mini shampoo and conditioner/lotion/soap). Breakfast food from room service- delicious!. Appreciated the late check out time. Only complaint was the bed was not very comfy to me. Too firm for my liking. Overall- it was a good experience.

Overall, good value but could use a refresh. Needs to be remodeled.

I've stayed at this hotel twice now and have not been disappointed. Sure, the Omni has a outside pool, a bar with game tables, but it's also loud. The Renaissance rooms are quiet, there isn't a party going on and the staff are fantastic. That is hugely appreciated after a long difficult day of work. The rooms are well done. The bed is soft, comfortable and feels like home.

Thank you for the 4 star review. We regret that the pillows and bed was not as comfortable as you would have liked. We are replacing all of our mattresses in May and the current pillows are brand new. We feel changing the mattresses will certainly improve the quality of our bedding.
