Great check in and check out. Bedding was not acceptable

Winter Park Mountain Lodge is located in the quiet, uncrowded outskirts of Winter Park, across US 40 from the cabriolet lift to the ski resort's village. I stayed at this property over the July 14-16, 2017 weekend during the annual jazz festival. Occupants of other hotels, motels, and condominiums justifiably complained about the rowdiness and late-night antics of festival attendees. There was no such noise at Winter Park Mountain Lodge.

Hotel is across highway from all WP resort activities. Had to drive or catch shuttle bus. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms needed some modern updating. The bar was way overpriced. I am sure I would look for other lodging options if I were to return to WP. Not worth the price of $109 per night.

This hotel is just across from the Winter Park Ski Resort, but at a fraction of the resort hotels. We had a garden facing room which still offered a nice view, and also saw the snowmobile tours, which was interesting. It was just a short couple minutes drive to the Winter Park free parking lot F, which we used every day, and took the free Cabriolet to Winter Park base. It was very convenient. We will definitely come back to this hotel again.

We stayed 4 days at this hotel, we are quite pleased with the accommodations. First, the staff were friendly and efficient. We arrived early and since there was a winter advisory, they were able to check us in earlier than the designated time. The staff in the front was also able to upgrade our rooms and that was very nice. The rooms are clean, big enough for a family of four and comfortable. We also used the jacuzzi and that was a bonus after a whole day in the slopes. The whole time our stay was restful, staff were professional and helpful and we had a great time. I will strongly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are noisy and outdated, was unable to get ahold of anyone for room service (called for over an hour) would not stay again

This is a good hotel choice if you are conscious about your budget. In other words, if you can get a competitive rate on this hotel, go ahead, book it! But if the rate for a room is not on sale, or you can pay a bit more and go someplace else, you might be better off doing that.

They have two parts to the hotel, and old one and a new one -- we have stayed in both. The old part of the building the rooms are about the size of a walk in closet. The new part of the hotel is much better. Breakfast isn't free and the restaurant is pretty pricy. However, bus picks you up at the front door to the hotel and they run about every 20 minutes or so back and forth from the ski hill. All in all, not bad, but I always check what else is available in town before I book here.

Good experience small rooms , nice pool area and restaurant

Great location, room 501 was quiet with reasonably comfortable beds.

Terribly uncomfortable bed with even worse pillows. Besides that, loved the vibe of the place.

We got a free upgrade. The staff was so friendly. The friendliest staff at any place I've stayed. And I've stayed at many places throughout the world. I can't wait to stay there again!

Fine. Did not use the restaurant. There during "shoulder" season when not a lot is open in the town, but we were heading for Grand Lake area where Constitution Week was happening.

No frills, 2 hot tubs, decent pool, no restroom facilities at pool / spa area , limited menu at restaurant. Was told immediately after walking in at 3 p that check in was at 4!

When we saw the room it was tiny and not even close to the one I had last time. We went to change to the bigger room. The younger girl at the front is very grumpy and scowls at everyone that walks by. She was not helpful at all. Saying I had to upgrade for 30$ (which I was willing to pay). And all of a sudden the manager, I think it was Nancy, came in and made everything better! She was friendly and was smiling and made me feel like I wasn't crazy or mean like the other girl. She proceeded to give me the room I thought I reserved and did it with a great customer service. One of my party went down later to ask a question and when he came up was like "wow that girl is rude". Turns out it was the same front desk girl of course. Nancy deserves a raise for picking up the slack and creating a long time customer!

My room was dirty, the staff did not have answers to even the most basic questions. They gave miss information daily. The breakfast was slow, scant, poorly prepared and over priced. We had two violent events in the hallway at 2 &3 am during our stay. The front desk was called they said the police were on the way we did not see any police and the offenders were still in the hotel the following day. The toilet bowl was cracked and the crack appeared to be filled will a brownish material. I am the race director a midwest resort. We have over 200 racers in our program, we come to Winter Park yearly for races. I will actively warn people not to stay at the Winter Park Mountain Lodge.

This is a great place for families coming up to ski. We came up with another family on a Sunday morning to ski that day, spend the night and ski again on Monday. Check-in isn't until 3 but no matter, the staff were very friendly and clear that we could definitely park our car in the lot and take the shuttle to the lift. They further invited us to use the hotel bathroom to change, offered us hot chocolate and a place to store out things for the day. There is a great pool and 2 hot tubs, which our kids loved, and a nice restaurant onsite. Our room had a micro, fridge and coffee maker, all the things a family needs. The room was very clean and everything worked properly.

This was our 2nd visit this year and hotel needed remodel but to do it during ski season crazy limited hours at restaurant with very few choices on menu.not sure of a 3rd visit but great location nice staff

Very nice but the newly renovated room did not look the part and had things like a broken toilet seat and an empty toilet roll (an unopened roll was available though). No A/C or heat but a window was available. Super nice people though and let us stay late (past check out) since we got in so late. Great hotel and beautiful view. Room was otherwise good jus a few hiccups. Thanks!

It was so hot we couldn't sleep. We opened the window but no breeze and the highway noise was loud. Otherwise the hotel was nice. The resteraunt had very good food and there were plenty of other amenities available in town. I feel if it had not been so hot in the room we would have stayed longer. I would not recommend this hotel in the summer months.
