Winter Park Mountain Lodge

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

My family had a great time at the Mountain Lodge, right across the way from Winterpark Ski Resort. Dinner was fabulous and Alex, the bar tender, poured us some Colorado Moose Drool, IPA. The hot tub felt great after a day of snowboarding/skiing(girls) and the kids were in arms distance in the heated pool with a fantastic view from the hot tub and our rooms. We will be back next season!

Outdated--walls are paper thin, with worn carpets, noisy (squeaking) showers and general grubbiness throughout. The restaurant is awful--avoid!

The location is awesome. You can rent your gear onsite and catch the free Lift bus directly to the base of WP. Very convenient and all the staff were very accommodating. Also the Great Adventures snowmobile tour operates out of the lodge which is an EPIC must!!! I definitely recommend the WPML. Super affordable and accessible to everything in WinterPark!!! We will come back.

Good location, nice staff. Room was good but not great. Hard to control heater temps.

Friendly staff, enjoyable restaurant and bar area. Some room features, like carpet, are getting worn, but the place is clean and warm and across the road from the ski base.

Old but somewhat charming. Terrible hvac system that was too hot or too cold. No refund given when altitude sickness caused us to cut our stay short

The hotel is a good value, its been recently refreshed. Very functional in terms of access to the mountains, ski rental place onsite, dining and views. I think its a 4 rating due to the value. Your not going to impress many friends staying there but its worth the money compared to higher cost places.

The room service not clean properly. The hotel needs remodelation in the room.

The reason I picked this resort is because of the online pictures and the seemingly nice pictures. But when I got there I realized that the resort was a little bit old. The room keys almost never worked... not my number one recommendation

one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. garlic mashed potatoes had no garlic, and were cold. the philly cheese steak was totally un etible.

We were just here overnight on our way to Rocky Mountain National Park. The rooms were very nice and very comfortable. The pool area was also nice. We liked the fact that there were two hot tubs set to different temperatures. We paid more than we would have liked for such a quick stay (where we didn't have time to enjoy all the amenities); but, we would certainly consider staying here again -- especially if we were planning to stay in the area for a few days.

Great check in and check out. Bedding was not acceptable

Winter Park Mountain Lodge is located in the quiet, uncrowded outskirts of Winter Park, across US 40 from the cabriolet lift to the ski resort's village. I stayed at this property over the July 14-16, 2017 weekend during the annual jazz festival. Occupants of other hotels, motels, and condominiums justifiably complained about the rowdiness and late-night antics of festival attendees. There was no such noise at Winter Park Mountain Lodge.

Hotel is across highway from all WP resort activities. Had to drive or catch shuttle bus. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms needed some modern updating. The bar was way overpriced. I am sure I would look for other lodging options if I were to return to WP. Not worth the price of $109 per night.

This hotel is just across from the Winter Park Ski Resort, but at a fraction of the resort hotels. We had a garden facing room which still offered a nice view, and also saw the snowmobile tours, which was interesting. It was just a short couple minutes drive to the Winter Park free parking lot F, which we used every day, and took the free Cabriolet to Winter Park base. It was very convenient. We will definitely come back to this hotel again.

We stayed 4 days at this hotel, we are quite pleased with the accommodations. First, the staff were friendly and efficient. We arrived early and since there was a winter advisory, they were able to check us in earlier than the designated time. The staff in the front was also able to upgrade our rooms and that was very nice. The rooms are clean, big enough for a family of four and comfortable. We also used the jacuzzi and that was a bonus after a whole day in the slopes. The whole time our stay was restful, staff were professional and helpful and we had a great time. I will strongly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are noisy and outdated, was unable to get ahold of anyone for room service (called for over an hour) would not stay again

This is a good hotel choice if you are conscious about your budget. In other words, if you can get a competitive rate on this hotel, go ahead, book it! But if the rate for a room is not on sale, or you can pay a bit more and go someplace else, you might be better off doing that.

They have two parts to the hotel, and old one and a new one -- we have stayed in both. The old part of the building the rooms are about the size of a walk in closet. The new part of the hotel is much better. Breakfast isn't free and the restaurant is pretty pricy. However, bus picks you up at the front door to the hotel and they run about every 20 minutes or so back and forth from the ski hill. All in all, not bad, but I always check what else is available in town before I book here.

Good experience small rooms , nice pool area and restaurant
