Room are very noisy. But next to the freeway. Wifii difficult to get working. The hotel is nice and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable . I will return but make sure I have a room on the other side
Nice hotel, friendly service, good value for the money. Room was clean and comfortable and the staff was great. I arrived from the airport really late and the staff waited for me well past midnight to get me checked in. Would definitely recommend.
Having to pay for breakfast is odd....especially when Embassy, Hampton...other Hilton brands offer the same quality breakfast for free. A family of 4 would have to drop an additional $50 to have breakfast. Good thing there is a WaffleHouse across the street. The hotel is great and the staff is warm and friendly....I just think that Hilton Garden Inn needs to rethink its breakfast policy....(i.e. if you are Gold/Plat, you get free breakfast....but regular members and SILVER, have to pay)
Excellent service and accommodations! Great location. Will be back. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and the food service was excellent. This hotel was recommended by a friend who lives in Auburn.
I have stayed in this hotel brand many times and this was not a good experience. The rooms need updating badly. Walls were paper thin and bed linens were not comfortable. Breakfast was overpriced. I would not stay here again.
This hotel was just a empty promise. I did not receive the hotwire rate. I was charged $150.00 for a room. When i got there, the A/C was broken and the tub was filthy. I told the staff in the morning. They were very nice, but overall unhelpful. I was offered no type of comp, refund, or any help. "we are working on it" does not help me.
I recently stayed at HGI Auburn on business, and it was a very good stay. The property is well managed -- standard HGI motif, and well maintained. What I most appreciated was the excellent service by the hostess / waiter for breakfast (a unique first name starting with W, last name starting with L; I apologize that I cannot recall her full name). She was very attentive and made me and others feel most welcome and provided excellent service.
I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn AL the weekend of December 1 - 3, 2017 while my nephew was competing in the South's Best robotics competition at Auburn University, and was so disappointed - the lobby was beautiful, and the front desk staff and bartender were fantastic both evenings we were there, but our room was not up to par. The shower head and tub faucets were literally falling off the wall (I forgot to take pictures - it’s room 219); the toilet and bed were ‘70’s low to the ground; the mattress was way too soft and lumpy; our room (a king suite) was next to the elevator with the sitting area sofas and the headboard backing up to it; pre-teens were riding up and down the elevator all night (the front desk agent came up to stop them running up and down the hall, kudos to her); and to top it all off I ended up in our local ER on Sunday night, December 3rd, after a five+ hour drive home with a severe allergic reaction to BED BUGS!!! We’ve been Hilton fans for years, and at over $550 for two nights we certainly didn’t expect any of those problems. I rarely complain about a hotel, but the bed bug pain and itching were literally too much to bear! I've never had this happen before and hope I never do again. An ER trip that's now nearing $500.00 out of pocket, the $550.00 room bill, two days' work missed because of two sleepless nights (I was put on a powerful steroid prescription to try to tame the inflammation and excruciating itching; it didn't work as I'm severely allergic to insect bites/stings of any kind), and no reaction to date from the hotel although I've reported this to Hilton multiple times via social media and email. I can't believe a chain like Hilton doesn't check for these daily! I know they can't help who sleeps in their rooms before the next guest does, but they can make sure they're eradicated if some happen to find a home. And, they can make things right when someone has an experience like mine!!!
worth the stay it not far from Auburn collage nice quiet area it has restaurant and pool and many amenities the price is good room very clean and quiet has refrig etc and laundry easy to find the entrance is by the wendys
We normally stay in another hotel, but it was full for graduation weekend. I was concerned by the higher cost of this hotel, but the staff was very helpful. The gentleman manning the breakfast station gave us a coupon for free breakfast, which we greatly appreciated.
