It is located 10 miles west of the city and serves as the secondary airport to Detroit, Michigan. The airport is hub to American Airlines and Allegiant Air. Another airport that serves Toledo is Detroit Metro Airport. It is approximately 45 miles north of the city and is the nearest regional and international airport from Toledo. The SMART bus line provides bus routes from Fort Street to Detroit. It connects the larger part of Metro Detroit to the airport. Private airport shuttle buses provide free and comfortable transport between the North Terminal and the McNamara Terminal.
Toledo Express Airport offers door-to-door shuttle van services to/from the airport and in the greater Toledo area. Travelers need to book their seats at least 24 hours before their scheduled flight. You can also hire a taxi or rent a car to reach the airport.
Toledo Express Airport has a cocktail area and food court on the second floor. First floor amenities are only open during peak hours. Detroit Metro Airport offers several great eats, including Mexican and Mediterranean cuisine. The McNamara Terminal is hub to several restaurants and snack bars, such as Taco Grill, Tequileria, Popeye's and Caribou Coffee. There are two major airports, John F. Kennedy International (JFK) and LaGuardia, that service travelers flying into New York City. LaGuardia Airport is roughly nine miles east of Manhattan, while JFK is almost 20 miles to the southeast. Although JFK is further from the city, you can hop on the AirTrain, which will take you to the subway or the Long Island Railroad.
