A flight between Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) and New York City gets you from South Carolina's Grand Strand to America's epicenter for international culture and trade. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, United Nations Visitor Centre and One World Trade Center are among numerous landmarks that solidify New York City's global status. The best way to get to MYR is via Highway 15 or Kings Highway. A non-stop flight from Myrtle Beach to New York City takes just over two hours.
Begin a tour of Lower Manhattan at the 9/11 Tribute Center where you may obtain tickets to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. Rising above the enormous pools where the Twin Towers once stood is One World Trade Center, which offers aerial views from multiple levels at the One World Observatory. The Jewish Museum of Heritage, the Skyscraper Museum and the Irish Hunger Memorial are other top attractions. When you're ready to visit the Statue of Liberty, head to Battery Park and board a ferry to Liberty Island.
From rental cars at Federal Circle to Long Island Railroad service at Jamaica Station, ground transportation options are plentiful at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). If you fly from Myrtle Beach to New York City in the winter, pack insulated coats to stay warm when skating at the Rockefeller Center on a freezing afternoon. Summer temperatures in the Big Apple often peak in the 90s. Be sure to enjoy outdoor events like the U.S. Open and Summerfest.
