The Nest at Sleeping Bear’s South Bar Lake

Enjoy the calm and beauty of the northern lower peninsula. M22 life awaits! Private dock on S. Bar, a fish filled quiet lake, that’s great for swimming, too. 1/2 mile paddle across S. Bar lake gets you to Empire’s public Lake Michigan beach. Of course, the 1 mile walk of drive is also an option. Sleeping Bear Dunes Heritage Trail begins on our street! The infamous dune climb is just 5-1/2 miles away and the trail takes you right there. Grocer’s daughter chocolate shop is less than 1/2 mile.
The “Nest” is prepared to let you relax. The kitchen has a refrigerator, oven and sink over looking the fruit trees in the backyard. Living area is complete with a glider and pull out couch. The bedroom features a double bed, closet space and plenty of room for a pack-n-play or two for our younger guests. There’sa full bathroom with shower and basic toiletries. At the lower level you’ll find the laundry which includes a washer, dryer and utility sink. S. Bar is at the west edge of the backyard, where you’ll find the dock, fire pit and all the fish.
