DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bay City - Riverfront

Everything was excellent. An improvement on the last stay was that there is now a good seafood restaurant, Real Seafood, within walking distance to the north.

I think it was a little overpriced. I drove to Bay City from Chicago to my sister in laws babyshower. The location is great, right in the heart of the city. I was a little disappointed that continental breakfast wasn't included for the price. The room was clean and the beds rather comfortable. Next time I visit, I think I will stay elsewhere for half the price and just as comfortable.

Everyone was very pleasant to work with. The wedding was wonderful, the room was beautiful. We would definitely recommend planning events and staying at this hotel.

We stayed overnight. Room was clean, nice view and friendly staff. The room only had full sized beds and no kind of breakfast. (Alot of other chains have queens or king size beds and breakast for half the price!) The room was nice but way overpriced. (We'e gotten better than this for half the price!)

Beautiful rooms and friendly staff made our wedding guests feel at home. Would definitely book a venue here again

Everything about the Doubletree in Bay City was great except to television system. Very difficult to switch channels and get to the programming. The staff was welcoming, the reservation was waiting for us as planned and the pool was magnificent.

A view of the river costs extra at this hotel. But open your window at night to enjoy the view and you are blinded by flood lighting that shines up at your window. This was not the case at the Double Tree in Port Huron. One could enjoy the view of the river and the bridge, which cost more than other rooms at the Port Huron hotel but less than the room at the Bay City hotel. This is the reason for the poor value and amenity rating. Also, breakfast doesn't need to be that expensive for what was served.

The staff was wonderful, the room was beautiful! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Bay City!

Rooms are beautiful! Front desk staff very friendly!

The only issue we had was with the night shift staff. We arrived at hotel 1:35am. We asked how much to upgrade to a river view suite. Not only would she not tell us, she wouldn't even check. She stated we bought an online package- and she kept saying that. We stayed in 6 nights. Our original room should have been city view, but was airconditioner vent view. We walked back downstairs and I said, Please, I am begging you- do not make us look out to that for 6 nights. She did move us up to the 6th floor, and it was better. She still would not give us the price to upgrade, but kept saying you bought an online package. We offered to pay difference, and she still wouldn't tell us or give us the info. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

We had reserved our room ahead of time and went in a day early to try to get another room, it didn't even have to be the same room we had reserved. The lady behind the counter was helpful and efficient and gave us the room we had reserved, for the discounted rate we had reserved it, for the extra night! They also welcomed us with warm chocolate chip cookies...can't go wrong there! The rooms were luxurious and comfortable, huge comfy beds and soft, clean carpet. The pool area was cozy and well maintained, not a loud, noisy mess. They even had "adult swim" hours - very considerate! The one downside, there is NOT a continental breakfast, you must pay for an expensive buffet which we were not interested in. It seems like for the price you pay for a room, SOME breakfast would be complimentary? However, I would absolutely return, because there are awesome breakfast places just a block down the street downtown. The staff was great, the room was great, the pool was good, and everything about this hotel was just as it should be: hospitable.

Wonderful hotel! Amazing views, beautiful clean rooms and GREAT food, the cookies at check in are a great touch! Friendly warm staff. We came for new years and despite the hotel being very busy with many parties it was nice and quiet in the room, couldn't hear the other guests. We definitely will stay here again!

This elegant hotel offers the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Wasn't as close to our destination as stated [...], but still a very enjoyable nights stay.

I would recommend this hotel.everyone was friendly the hotel was very clean.free laundry.we ate here several times the food was good.

Was there for my Godchilds wedding. From Check in to check out just the nicest place to be. Check in friendly with welcome to our hotel fresh hot cookies.Food was great, ballroom for wedding was wonderful. So nice to be there for reception and room so close, no need to run around to many places.

The hotel was fine. [...]

The doubletree is by far the best hotel I have stayed in. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are nice, and the staff is very friendly.

Check-in and check out were a breeze. Great desk staff! Room was lovely - with a view of the river. Amenities in room were super - great coffee. We attended a wedding reception at the sight and it was wonderful.

Excellent hospitality. Would and am staying there again.

the pool was small but I liked that the towels were in the pool room. I liked the fact that there was only one elevator to get to the pool. The room was nice but in the smoking room the windows didn't open there was no fan in the bathroom so the room was very very stuffy. I also didn't like the fact that there was no breakfast served this adds to the cost of the vacation. don't think I will stay again
