Fantastic location! The property is unique and I like the idea of getting a more affordable room for solo travelers in NYC. I also got to check in early after a redeye flight which was terrific. That said, I didn’t see anywhere in the booking information that the rooms don’t have a ceiling and are open to all the noise of the hallways/ other guests. I’ve stayed at a similar style hotel with small rooms and shared facilities, however those rooms actually had full walls that connected with the ceiling. The NowNow Noho has slatted partial ceilings and walls that do not go all the way to the ceiling. Unless you get lucky and have a nearly empty floor or very quiet floor mates, you will be constantly disturbed with doors opening and closing.Definitely glad I tried it once, but for the price, I’m not sure I’d stay again.

You need to know that this is a loud hotel. I was ready for the small room and sort of looking forward to the experience of it. I could tell that all of my neighbors were making an effort to be quiet, but the doors to the rooms open and close loudly, and there’s nothing you can do to quiet them. I didn’t sleep well at all and ended up checking out after only one night. However—the staff were all really nice and accommodating. The other guests were people like me—travelers looking to save a few dollars. The Bowery neighborhood is safe. NYC is more and more the home of millionaires. The Bowery is no exception. I would stay here again if I was a less sensitive sleeper. Important to note that I slept wearing earbuds playing white noise and also ran my white noise machine. But they were no match for the sound of those doors.

If you’re looking for a safe and affordable place then this is the right place for you! There’s a lot of transportation/ dining options around the area really close to many NY attractions. The only thing is that the rooms are small the beds are a decent size for someone who’s 5,2. Just make sure to bring some noise canceling headphones or some earplugs since is an open ceiling so you won’t be bothered with the noise, especially when people open/close doors. Overall a good experience!

The location is terrific ! The beds are comfy and clean as are the shared bathrooms. However !! If you are a light sleeper or claustrophobic this is not the place for you l! The pods are incredibly tiny ( as in .. you can basically just stand in them ) and there are no ceilings ! The night I stayed two guys are either side of me were snoring like saws and the earplugs and sound machine I was given did little to muffle the noise !!

I had found out that this was a fairly new hostel/hotel building. The price was a bit much, but if you figure in the location it balances out. The bed was really comfortable. If you are only there to sleep, this is the perfect place. It was rough my first night hearing others snoring as the walls do not go up to the ceiling. Its is quite "COZY" but I understand that space is a premium in NYC. It is a good starting spot to have an adventure

Hôtel très agréable et idéalement situé, à environ 40 minutes à pied de Times Square et à 20 minutes en métro. Le quartier de Chinatown ainsi que le pont de Brooklyn se trouvent également à proximité. Le personnel est particulièrement accueillant et fait tout son possible pour vous aider, même si vous ne parlez pas anglais. Les chambres sont superbes, et l’établissement se distingue par sa propreté et son confort.
