I’m so excited to finally write this review! It took me a little longer because I lost the concierge’s card, and I’m terrible with names—I believe his name was Rashid. I hate not being sure how to spell it, but he truly saved my stay in London. I was in the city for just one night to attend a gala event for the Design et al Awards. Unfortunately, the airline lost my luggage with absolutely everything in it—my gala dress, shoes, makeup, everything! When I arrived at the hotel, I had only a couple of hours before the event. I walked in, explained what had happened (while crying like a baby), and Rashid immediately stepped in to help. He encouraged me to go up to my room, wash my face, and not give up. He even lent me a phone charger, gave me directions to the nearest stores, and reminded me not to let this ruin my opportunity to receive an award. Thanks to him, I managed to get what I needed—and we ended up winning! I would have been disqualified if it weren’t for him. On top of that, the bed was super comfy, and the location is perfect. But honestly, it’s this kind of service that makes all the difference. Rashid—you’re a hero! I’ll definitely be staying here again.

This hotel badly needs a renovation and deep clean. I think the carpet in the hallways is probably 30+ years old based on the color and the griminess. Room carpet didn't feel that clean either. Also, the two room chairs had stains on them. For the price I had to pay I would expect that the owners would reinvest back into the hotel. Hotel staff were mixed. Some were pleasant some were curt. However, there are so few options in this area of London. If I could avoid this area, I would. Breakfast was OK. Not worth the price. The best thing was the hummus. In fact the hummus was really good and a great healthy option paired with cucumbers to start your day. Tea options not good. I'll probably try to avoid this hotel in the future if I can find better options or choose a different area altogether.

The facility was old and needed updating. Furniture was is worn and the blinds were filthy. The staff was not helpful, room service was nonexistent...phone went unanswered. The onsite restaurant was very un-inviting...had breakfast from off the menu instead of buffet which seemed to annoy the staff. Went once for dinner since no local resturants were available. We were the only ones there, the food was barely edible (fish n' chips). The hostess/waitress tried too much to be social to the point of annoyance. Street noises outside our room was loud with shouting and yelling into the early morning hours. Trucks making deliveries were our wake up calls, with backup beeping and general offloading noises.

Noisy outside our room at night. Doors slamming, etc Should have mentioned Expedia sold us a room without breakfast which was important. Breakfast was quite good
